You can't have it all in one draft.

This is true. However we had a lot of holes still to fill going into the 2007 draft and objectively speaking at this point it seems we didn't pursue a strategy designed to fill enough of them.

I think Darrelle Revis may very well be a very good CB. He's going to have to be a great one to make this a plus draft though. I mean like one of the top 5 in the league.

Any team would be happy to have a top 10 CB in the league, much less top 5.

What holes didn't we fill? OL, I'll buy that. But what else?

OL (2 holes at least maybe 3) and DL (a hole or 2, maybe even 3 if Ellis plays as poorly as he did last year and Coleman is really a part-timer.)

We have to wait and see who pans out before we start making assumptions on what could have been. The JETS got two players on day one they had high on their draft board and they will see the field.

Spencer might a dumb pick, if we went DE/OLB it would be a late pick
As a DE No way he can beat out ellis or coleman(we paid coleman 20 mil for a reason that ruled out a DE being drafted in the 1st rnd). As a LB I dont think he was going to beat out Thomas, Hobson or Bowens. He would be 4th on the deph chart. When we signed Bowens that ended the thought of a pass rushing LBer

McCauley is no better than Miller I think he is worse.

Walker would probably be our 4th or 5th Wr. Plus Wr is a luxury position.

Ramirez wont even start for the Lions this year. THE FREAKING LIONS!!!

yes there is more quality in that draft but looking at it most of those players they are questionable(like most 2nd and 3rd rnders)

for 1st rnd draft picks look at most drafts: 1/3 are great 1/3 are so-so 1/3 are busts
in the 2nd and later rnds the numbers decline fro great players
then for 7th rnd 1/32 become great 5/32 make team 26/32 practice squad or cut

I looked at the draft playing monday morning QB over and over agian I think we came out well. I can care less about 5th 6th 7th rnd picks they rarely make it.

    Barlow for a 4th gets an F
trade down for T Jones gets a B
    Revis and Harris for a 1st, 2 2nds and a 3rd is not bad
