Certainly, Mayfield and Darnold are the top 2. Rosen, should be included but some teams might take him off their board because of personality and durability combined with poor pocket presence. But he should certainly, be ahead of everyone in this draft. Allen would be behind all the first round QBs in this draft except for 1 or 2 teams that value measureables and highlight real plays over QBs that are able to throw with accuracy from the pocket. But it only takes one stupid team to draft a bad QB high. Thank you Buffalo. Jackson would likely be a top 15 QB in this draft.
Yeah, that was my thinking. Yep. Of course we can't factor in what he would have done at USC in 2018, but he likely would have strengthened his stock, not weakened it. Great post, thanks. I agree that people are too low on Rosen right now too.
Mayfield and Darnold are better than any of this year's QBs. Murray, Haskins, and maybe even Lock are better than Allen and Rosen.
Hindsight is 20/20. Outside of some teams with concerns about Rosen’s attitude, Rosen would, at the minimum, be the second QB off the board this year.
NFL Network tweeted this image earlier today. I am having trouble getting the link address from the tweet for some reason. Sorry about the size of this. To me this only reinforces that Arizona would be silly to pack it in on Rosen so quickly, but stranger things have happened.
It would be silly if you trust Daniel Jeremiah rather than your scouting staff, otherwise it’s a moot point.
It's based on pre draft rankings. Most analysts did have Rosen above Baker prior to last year's draft.
Taking predraft rankings from 2 distinctly different classes is illogical. And I’m assuming he did that now so his rankings are ass.
Why is it illogical? Is it more fair to compare NFL experience to college experience and use hindsight based on Rosen's 1st year in the NFL?
I think using predraft methodology from two distinct draft classes is massively illogical. If you look at historical data it’s massively fucking stupid.
Following the NFL network is like watching Fox news. Sure they have stories. Stories that show one point of view and are designed to keep the money making machine going in the "right" direction. They are a propaganda monster with little actual analysis.
