I guess the difference is you have a home run potential player at RB and a terrible player at QB. Perhaps they need to throw the ball to Breece more. What they’re doing on offense right now is the kind of thing that welcomes the first ever “lost wages due to coaching negligence” lawsuit in NFL history.
Don't disagree with this comment, but these same things happen to other teams/qb's and good ones are able to overcome to find the end zone, heck even very average qb's can do this time to time. Wilson was the 2nd pick in the draft. He looks no better than O'Connell, Bagent or maybe even Devito. It's ridiculous that all things must be perfect to succeed, this has shades of Mark Sanchez all over again...
Neither do I. I think firing him just turns this into a circus. I don't think it will happen because of Rodgers. Woody won't do anything to destabilize the situation with Rodgers here. I also don't think saleh should lose his job. He brought a good defense which is what we expected. He has failed on offense but look what he has to work with and if he's not allowed to throw another QB out there gotta be more frustrating for him than it is for us
Sanchez played well enough for the great defense to payoff. He also had a way better supporting cast but he still had to make plays.
He seemed to get better in each successive season for us. Definitely an unsung hero from 2009. I seem to recall him being called Thomas 2 yards in his first season with the Jets.
That is the crux and the problem, and fifty threads on Zach sucks will not change the fact that the entire offensive execution has been dismal across the board, starting with the OC, pathetic undisciplined penalties that negate TD after TD and significant progress, QB that can’t see open receivers when there, and WR and TEs that can’t catch when hit on the numbers, add a completely dismal running game plan and utilization of both Cook and Hall, and above all, a worthless Offensive strategy that has changed zip nothing to leverage our strengths across the board. Yet Hack is still at the helm and clueless Saleh is backing that nonsense up.
Hackett runs a trick play where he's relying on the guy who left the game with a bad elbow to throw the ball. Makes sense.
This is primarily the job of the DC. The head coach is supposed to be responsible for the entire team. Saleh was pitched as a CEO when he was hired. CEO's aren't only responsible for half of the company. Also, make no mistake, Saleh's fingerprints are all over this offensive ineptitude. It's obvious given his comments and gameplans. He wants to play a conservative brand of football and thinks defense is the way to win games in the modern NFL despite mountains of evidence to the contrary. We need to do everything possible to get Ben Johnson or a similar guy as HC. There's no need to reinvent the wheel here. Just sign an innovative, up and coming OC as HC and go from there. It doesn't always work, but it works more often than the other HC hiring routes. It also has the added bonus of not losing your OC and thus offensive system if your OC turns out to be good and leaves for a HC job (since your OC is essentially your HC already).
jones was always overrated to me. besides the fact he rarely fumbled or got hurt, he was just a JAG behind a great o-line that got high volume. he couldn't make anyone miss, he never broke tackles really and went down on 1st contact, and didn't have breakaway speed.
And the very next play the QB threw it just as bad as the WR did (behind and way over Dalvin Cook's head)
This they’re throwing too much stuff is total BS. Watch the games. They run on first down and get a yard. They force themselves to have to throw. This make believe illusion that if they run every play all of a sudden it’ll work is comical. All the defense will do is overload the box. And then toward the end they’re always losing where they have to throw.
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JoneTh00.htm Three years with the Jets 3,800 yards rushing, 500 yards receiving, 31 Touchdowns. Are your standards with women equally as high?
again re-read my comment. our line made stars of everyone. he put up great stats because the situation was perfect for him. but his actual talent was JAG level.
I really think it's cute how you want me to just accept your opinion of who is talented as concrete fact, without a shred of evidence, statistical or empirical to support your point of view. I'm debating if you are more lazy or arrogant?
