When Johnny Mitchell announced his retirement a reporter asked an old Jet teammate (not sure who, I'm doing this from memory) what he thought about it. The player deadpanned "Well, I guess it's just five years 'til he's eligible for the Hall of Fame..."
Johnny Mitchell should have been a superstar. Probably the most physically talented Tight End this team has had. When I hear the term "Million dollar talent and a two-cent head" Johnny Mitchell is immediately who comes to mind. Spare for a couple tantilizing glimpses, he never came close to utilizing his talent. Kyle Brady was good for little more than as an extra O-lineman. Much like Brandon Jacobs, he was one of those guys who should have been able to carry tracklers down field and inflicted punishment on linebackers and defensive backs. Instead, it seemed like the few times that Brady did have the ball in his hands the slightest contact would bring him down. Still, Brady probaby made more of his lesser talent than Johnny Mitchell ever did.
I am going with the one that did more coke. They might be a disappointment but hookers and midgets are soon to follow. If you are going to be around a failure you might as well have some fun with it......
