Thanks man. I think I pissed my wife off. I tried to wake her up for the last out. She chose sleep.

Now if we can get this other team in green to the promised land...........

    Finally, the offseason.

Time for the Jays to put the full-court press on for Pujols.

I don't think Pujols needs any special pricing on maple syrup. He'll be fine in St. Louis with his 2 rings.

Can Bud Selig suck any more dick? Why not just tape the fucking speech ahead of time?

50/50. I hope he stays, but I worry more about him ending up with the Cubs. If he goes, at least we got another ring out of it along with his best years.

This is an easier exit for Pujols now. Even the fans will not mind because he won it with them before he left

If he leaves, he deserves all the unfair A-Rod type bs he's going to get wherever he goes. He wouldn't be able to get away with being a moody pr*** anywhere else, St. Louis is a town is just as protective of their own stars as much as LaRussa does as a manager.

Plus he's a god in St. Louis now, and if he stays there will be as big as Musial for the next sixty years. If he goes elsewhere, he'll always be the guy who couldn't live up to his Cardinal past. They need him, he needs them...it'd be foolish on either end not to get a fair deal done.

Fantastic series. I still think it was BS they postponed game 6 because it might rain, giving the Cards one more shot to throw Carpenter, but it should never have gotten to game 7 so the Rangers can only blame themselves.

I'm less disappointed that the Cards won it than if game 6 had not gone the way it did. if you can't hold 2 2-run leads then you don't deserve to win it.

    Bud Selig sucks ass.

    TheJetsStream Manish Mehta
Bud Selig reading his World Series trophy presentation remarks off a sheet of paper? Really? Is "Congrats Cardinals" so hard to memorize?

TheJetsStream- Now Bud Selig is reading off sheet of paper for World Series MVP trophy presentation to Freese. Actually looks down to say "What a player"

Hate that this pathetic arrogant joke of a team won it, but it makes it clear to Theo what he needs to do immediately. Stop the Cardinals, then win it all. Simple.

first inning was game 6 continued, with Texas scoring 2 and St. Louis matching it.

mccarver: "good break, bad break" on strike 2 to molina. No, that's not a good break. Instead of having a run forced in, you have 3-2 on Molina, where odds are that he'll be retired. He wound up walking anyway, but what a dumb comment by McCarver, who also later called Molina "Benjie Molina"

punto sucks, and La Russa finally wised up and started Theriot.

This is one of the most unlikely WS champions of all time, when you consider the lack of depth in the lineup and rotation. Three legitimate hitters (during season: Pujols-Holliday-Berkman. During WS: Pujols-Berkman-Freese), and a guy playing second in Punto who is not major league quality.

Rotation had Carpenter and Garcia, and that's it. Rest is simply not good.

Didn't it seem like they were the Packers from last season? Caught all the right breaks to get into the playoffs (Giants blowing a certain win - much like the Braves) then rolling thru the playoffs. It just had the same feel
