I am not too sure about that. Not in this current economy, and with the increase in ticket prices. This might be the beginning of the end of some of these waiting lists. Even all these corporations that are supposedly lining up to buy stadium seats--for the Mets, Yankees, Giants and Jets--have a bottom line. I wonder what the Brooklyn Nets are going to do?
i dont think its so much about him helping sell the psl, i really dont see it as much more than coincidence but you have to admit there arent too many people talking about psls today. and probably wont be until they send out the letters. if they really wanted to throw up a smoke screen they would have sent out the letters last week and THEN signed favre.
Are you seeing real estate prices going down in the NYC area? I am not. They may have gone down a bit but nothing compared to some parts of the country. This only means that there are plenty of people in NYC, despite the current state of economy, who have money and are willing to pay.
To be honest, I think it's all one reason for everything: "Because Woody wants it." New stadium? Woody. PSLs? Woody. Big offseason moves? Woody. Favre? Woody. A winning Jets football team? Woody. Johnson wants to win. He wants to make money. He wants it for his ego and his wallet. But that's OK, 'cause we might end up with a winner, too!
