I voted 'indifferent' based on the choices. Simply good or bad doesn't do him justice - this guy's the best owner the team has ever had in its short, short history. Leon Hess mighta hired Parcells but, he also hired Coslet, Kotex,Walton and gave Carroll no chance at all despite so much obvious potential. Woody is clearly better than the brain-dead/retarded Wilpons and Dolans, so he's actually become one of the better owners in recent NY history based on the choices available...and more importantly, based on what he's presented as a product to his customers. The Boss will always be the best owner in NY history but Woody Johnson is at least entering Mara-territory with a team that has not won anything in a long time. PSLs are an abomination - granted. But going to any live event has become a rich man's luxury in every sport, in every league. You can't hate the player in his case, only the game.
Wilson threatened without using the term "move" to move the Bills and the state agreed to funding. While Wilson wanted a new stadium he is unwilling to assume the biggest risk, while at the same time turning down naming rights offers. The Toronto games are just veiled threats that he may still move the team. It will be pretty sad if NY ends up with no NFL teams physically playing within the state. The upgrades to the stadium have been occurring for almost 15 years. The politicians said it was good for the area economy, although Erie County pays a huge amount of money in subsidies. Wilson lives in Detroit, if that says anything about what he thinks of Buffalo. NY state lost a lot of tax revenue by letting the Giants and then the Jets move out of state. Kudos to NJ politicians for being smarter than NY politicians regarding football.
