Cowher's the most overrated coach of all time. It took him 14 years to win a Super Bowl (that was handed to him basically). Yet, everyone thinks he'll come to NY and win a SB in a year or two. Do people truly believe that ANY coach in the entire NFL would have been able to take this year and last year's team to the playoffs?
I was really bummed after that season, because it felt like if they had pulled off one more win and made they playoffs they could have beaten anyone. Parcells stuck with Mirer too long imo.

We should all feel good about this. My hatred of the Dolphins, along with my desire for Rex to remain here combined to make yesterday a special day. Felt like a playoff win in some respects. I'd bet some of you also felt during the game that Rex had been told of his "non-firing" beforehand because has was extra animated during the game. He was having a blast. We know Rex is capable of getting the team to play well in a playoff atmosphere. Let's hope he and Idzik (and Morhinweg) can get the roster in shape to get back there again soon.
It's really awesome to see how much the players love and support Rex. Firing him would have been a HUGE mistake. These guys all have confidence in each other and the team looks promising moving forward. It's good to see the season end on a high note.
This was great! If where gonna get back to that glory of 09-10, It will be with Rex as our leader, glad they recognize that.
That was so awesome. Between the reaction of the players when Woody announced he's coming back, the confident/cocky remark, and izzy screaming "THIS IS OUR COACH, THIS IS OUR COACH!" This was awesome.
