It's actually more interesting then some of the other threads. If it works out great, if not no harm done. Why do movies like Rudy and Invincible do well? Show me don't tell me. Everyone likes the guy who plays with a passion for the game and not just the paycheck. They don't talk trash they just show up and play and make their team better in any way they can. They show with their work ethic and determination. Better this than a first round draft bust who gets the big payday and then can't deliver and becomes a work in progress. Give me a break, make them hungry again and then we will see what they are made of, reason why Braylon is not getting a new deal until after the season. I don't care if he was a midget Mexican or a pink tele-tubby.
+1 It's only natural for fans to be intrigued by the underdog guy who was never expected to make it. As long as the talk is just speculative I don't see the problem. It's all in good fun. Who knows if the guy ever sees the field, but if he does it will definitely be interesting.
I'd like to see Woodhead return punts. Leonhard is very medoicre and there's no chance he can break one.
That's awesome I would love to see him catch a few passes in the slot. Can't see him getting any carries though.
We know what you meant which was, "I've never seen an undrafted free agent get talked up so much." However, what you did write could be applied to numerous players. Let's just take a QB for instance. What did Brady Quinn ever accomplish on the NFL level to get talked about?
Very interesting. I'd love to see him come out and light it up. I assume he'll be active if they signed him to the active roster.
I hope Sanchez' tendency to throw high passes doesn't cause an issue with the midget playing receiver.
CP used to throw high ones to Chrebet all the time. All it got Wayne was a few missing minutes out of his life. Small price to pay in the big picture...
