With Edwards possibly out on Sunday what do we do?

Why are we assuming Edwards is out? Have any of the DWI offenders on our opponent's team missed a game yet this year?

 

Jets will suspend him, not the NFL.

Rex is extremely pissed off with him.

 

We should freak out about it for a while and then see nothing done about it by the organization through Sunday.

 

Just start Jerricho and Clowney and use Keller a lot. Throw it to LT, etc. Clowney can stretch the D too, he's got to be respected as a deep threat just like Braylon, maybe not doubled, but he can draw some coverage.

Been listening to 1050 all day and it seems that the Jets may do nothing. If the Jets defer to the league, then nothing will happen until next year. Kay brought up some good points. I voted "Suspend him" the poll earlier today, but now I have changed my mind.

Jets should announce that they will only suspend Edwards for this game only if the Dolphins suspend Ronnie Brown this week for his DUI this past off season! Fair is fair...

They should make him forfeit all of his cars and pay for limo service everywhere.

 

We can't suspend him. There are all kinds of suspension rules in the union contract and I don't think he can (or should) be suspended without some kind of due process. And I think that that is the way our system works and that is a good thing.

This is not to say he isn't stupid for doing what he did, or that he should get off scot free in the long run. But he deserves due process and he will get it.
