Murray dropped the first two sets to Verdasco before rallying to take the third and fourth. 5th set even 1-1

    Heh funny enough,

The "easy" half of the men's draw had the right the seeds (chalk) in the quarterfinals and the "difficult" half of the men's draw had no Federer, no Nadal, a 24 seed, and 2 no seeds

Well those quarters were disappointing. Not optimistic for classics tomorrow either.

Lisicki is on a roll, hoping that she beats Bartoli. It would have been easy for her to pack it in after beating Serena but she is playing very well. I still would have prefered to see Stevens get through as this would have been great for her but I'll be pulling for the very enthusiastic Lisicki.

Sets 1-1, but Janowicz up a break in the third.

He wants them to close the roof already (so the lights can come on).

I guess they'll do it after this set.

They are closing the roof. 20 minutes to close it and then an additional break to normalize the humidity.

So much for Lisicki's serve. Zero holds in the first set.

Maybe the worst performance ever in a Wimbledon final here.

Lisicki can't hold her serve, crying during the match...

Bartoli going to go down as one of the worst major winners ever. She didn't face a single opponent ranked in the top 20.

There's a reason why Lefty Gomez said "I'd rather be lucky than good."

^ True, but the draw being blown wide open led to this. To her credit, Bartoli's Wimbledon record does include a straight set win over Serena Williams in '11 and a finalist appearance (lost to Venus) in '07 after beating the top seed Justine Henin. Lisicki was not mentally ready for prime today and her big game turned into sloppy, scattershot tennis as opposed to the intense, quirky little capybara-like Bartoli who clearly was able to buckle down better.

Tomorrow should be interesting. Wimbledon crowd yesterday got a little un-Wimbledon-like with their overtly partisan cheering for UE's and double faults during the Andy Murray match. Hope Djoko doesn't let it get to him. One good thing will be having the cameras giving a lot of camera time to the two finalist's respective squeezes. Both are babes...

New women's record for most majors played in before winning.

She had a lucky draw and took advantage, that's all.

To be fair to the crowd, they were fine until Janowicz started acting like a prick.

The Bryan brothers now hold all four Grand Slam doubles titles, as well as the Olympic title. That's 15 majors titles, and a win at the US Open in September will of course give them the Grand Slam.
