I just woke up from a dream which was a musical movie written and directed by Woody Allen and starring Mark Sanchez as himself. Mark fell in love with an intellectual writer/milf, but was rejected and was so devastated he fell from grace. He then had to work his way up again and had too prove himself by playing football and singing... :breakdance:

Maybe I should take a break from football as soon as the draft is over.

On topic: I can't wait to see this secondary in action.

I think the more relevant detail in the pre-draft prognosis is where people thought he'd be among CB's not overall. This draft class has been said to be deep at DB and we got the number 2 guy at 29?! That's a great result let's be honest

I wish I could make a joke thread entitled "Tannenbaum Arrested this morning"

and then go on explaining how the NFL realized what he is doing and put an end to his pillaging of other teams players and draft prospects over the last few years.

He will win executive of the year this year.

Apparently, Tanny was about to trade out and Rex stopped him...

this is an instance where the coach intervened in a positive manner.

As much as I love this pick, if someone was offering an additional 2nd rounder and we passed, I'd be pissed.

    I doubt anyone was, though.

We probably could have gotten an extra 3rd or 4th at best.

Umm no. If we were offered 3 2nd rounders i still would have said no.

Kyle Wilson is a fucking beast.

I have no idea how he fell to us. He's a great hedge for if we lose Revis in the future. He'll be our number 1 at a cheap price.

This deal was so good. Probably one of the greatest steals in Jets history.

I always wanted to avoid thinking about losing Revis d/t injury, but this is an excellent point. Losing Revis would have murdered this team without another CB to fill in. Especially without a top notch one. Kyle Wilson will be one hell of an insurance policy as well as a player.

So at worst we got him right in the range of the lowest predictions for him! Some guys had him much higher but no body had him lower so we got great to good value at 29 and probably made our team much better already!

Maybe. I got a little nervous as the Jets took up all of their alotted time (especially when most teams seemed to be doing sprints to get their cards in).

I figured Wilson was a near-lock with the pick, but Tanny was doing his due diligence and fielding calls for a trade, in case some team blew him away.

I was kind of upset Odrick went one pick before ours, to Miami no less, but I am totally fine with Wilson. Apparently there were teams that had him ahead of Haden.

I thought a trade was coming. I would have been pissed off if the Jets traded back and we lost our shot at K-Dub. Tannenbaum's dedication to due diligence almost killed me.

    Wilson has to play first.

Revis got beat his first year remember.

If Revis went down, Cromartie would have to take the 1 spot.

The thing that is so different is that Revis, as a rookie, was automatically the best CB on the roster. Wilson is going to have a lot less put on him as a rookie, mostly playing against the slot WR.

I was told Odrick was one of the better players in this draft. If the Dolphins didn't take Odrick and he was still available, do you think we still would have taken Wilson if they were both on the board?
