Thing is, it's tough to "boo" a defensive lineman or linebacker, simply because their work isn't as "measurable" as that of a WR/RB or QB. QB misfires, throws a pick- boo. Running back fumbles- boo. WR drops a key throw while in the endzone-boo. I suppose that the only way you'll be able to boo the guy is if the stadium instant replay shows him whiffing on a sure tackle or sack.
I can't stand his b*tch a**, but he's wearing the Green and White, so until he F's up, he has my support! I guess this is pretty much the consensus. Either way, JT welcome to the JETS, now STFU and get some sacks.
The question wasnt will do boo or clap when he makes or misses a play, it is about when he is introduced.
He is part of our team now boys so relax with booing our team.. People talk trash..we are the biggest ones that do it.. He now plays for us get over it..I would love him to Crush Henne one game bad and have the place erupt..it is a league with constant change and good players are good players no mattter where they used to play... don't boo our own team
A very good point. Over the past 12 months we've become the biggest loudmouths in the entire league. Hell, Rex publicly flipped off Miami fans just a couple months ago. People just need something to feel indignant about.
Not only wont I buy it, I wouldn't wear it if it were given away free. I wont boo him and will reserve my cheers for when he earns them. I'm with the guys in the beer line, but knowing my prostate I'll more likely be in the piss line.
Totally describes where I'm at with this as well. Not gonna boo him, he's a Jet....Well, at least he's wearing the colors of a Jet.....Not gonna cheer him either - except when he earns it and cleans somebody's clock for us. I see him as a merc.....no more, no less.
To me it depends solely on performance... If he's productive I see no reason to boo him... If he sucks. well he'll be very easy to hate.
I'm not going to be at the game so I suppose the question doesn't exactly apply to me, but I'm with those who are going to remain silent and just see what happens - it's still hard for me to imagine cheering for the guy, but then again if he makes a big play in a Jets uniform then it's hard to imagine not cheering for him. I guess we'll see...
I've always hated Taylor, but the fact that him playing for the Jets pisses off Dolphins fans to no end definitely helps.
I hated Bryan Cox when he was with Miami. It's not the same thing as hating Jason Taylor. It really isn't.
Boo him until he sacks brady 4 times in week 2. Then I could possibly begin the long and hard process of maybe possibly not booing him every time I see that ugly mug. Balls in your court JT. SACK-SACK-SACK and then SACK some more. He better be nothing but a stone cold sack machine. Other wise he will remain a sack.
I'm with this. I was thinking I'd be silent. I certainly wouldn't boo, but I couldn't imagine what he could do to make me cheer him. But knocking Brady out would definitely do it. Take over ONE Pats game and I'm on board.
http://www.palmbeachpost.com/sports/dolphins/691987.html Artilce about Taylor at a charity event. Best line:"You go make a few plays and hopefully they'll embrace me," Taylor said. "What I don't want is to get booed at home and booed on the road." Thought the line was perfect for this thread. So he is aware of what may be in store for him.
absolutely, I will boo his ass opening day, and continue to do so until he proves he deserves to be cheered on in a jet uniform. Basically, if he performs, ill cheer for him because of his uniform, but hes definitely getting a a nice healthy BOOOO from me opening day. Come on
