I'm agreeing with you. I was saying I wouldn't be upset if we drafted Gilbert, but would if we drafted Dennard. For the same reasons you stated.

I go to school at UofM, so I too follow the B1G very closely.

 

I would hate to see another corner taken in the first but if Gilbert is there that would be acceptable. Idzik really messed up that side of free agency

 

Do not want Dennard he would be a penalty machine in the NFL. Not much of a playmaker either.

 

He will learn how to play in the NFL, he's not going to be a penalty machine. CB's who excel in press man coverage generally don't make a ton of big plays, because their eyes are trained on the WR not the QB. Revis had great awareness and even he had a full year with no picks, a really great year. Dennard is a much better fit for our system than Gilbert. Gilbert has great athleticism but would not do well year one in our system, and who knows after that? The aggression and physicality a press man corner needs is difficult to teach.
