Nah. Collins hasn't played well for a few years now. I would go after Kitna or Ramsey. I have no idea whether the Jets will go QB in the draft, but if they did want one I dont think this would prevent them from doing so.

No to Collins. Of all FA QBs this year, I would most like Brees. If not Brees, then Kitna. If not them, draft Cutler or Croyle.
I did not say we have to sign him, nor do I really want us too. But the scenario that came up earlier was that we would sign Chad, but we need a back up plan (Kitna, Collins, whoever), and we still draft a QB to take over in a year or 2. Collins is obviously on the tail end of his career, but if Chad isn't healthy he'd be a serviceable backup. Since he played in NY before, he might be a logical choice if they decide to go with this type of plan.
Does anyone agree with me on Brees? He is farther along in his rehab than originally planned, and is expected to be ready to throw during minicamps in the spring. It is almost assured that SD is dropping him because the GM is enamored with Rivers. (Their CS isn't too happy about the decision.)

Man this sucks. There is no way we should be asking this ?. The only reason we are is because we are now STUCK with PENNINGTON. If we would have stuck to our guns and cut No Shoulder Chad we would all still be talking about which QB to draft but instead we are asking if we should sign COLLINS? COME ON!!!
