What about a Joe Flacco type prospect? Or to an extent a lesser Carson Palmer? To me, I think it's either o-line or QB depending on our record.
I see the Jets tried to trade for Cousins as soon as smith got hurt and I would think you may never see him again after this season. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...t-kirk-cousins-trade-after-geno-smith-punched
Assuming Geno was suddenly available to the other 31 teams..........would anyone even consider taking him (aside from Rex)?
Fitzy looked really sharp today, aside from a couple of early throws, he started zipping that ball and was cool and calm out there.
He shook off an up and down first 27 mins well and then displayed a good command of the offense, especially in the hurry-up. I think it is very early to speculate on his outlook this season though. Let's see where the team is after 4 games and how his entire performance stacks up. If we are 2-2 and he is generally playing decent, I suspect Bowles will stay with him until he has a real stinker. I do feel that Geno will play this season at some point, that always happens on teams with unsettled situations, each of the options gets a chance at some point. As much as Fitz created some positive vibes today, if Geno is healthy and Fitz puts up a 3 INT stinker in a bad loss, I don't think he has enough if a hold on the job to necessarily survive that
That looks rather inevitable. Fitz always had 3+ INT stinker in almost every year - except his 2nd year in the league, where he managed under 2 INTs/game for the entire season. And yes - that includes his rather stellar year in Houston last year.
Our season may hinge on keeping Geno out of the starting lineup. I guess IK may have done us a favor!
