You're asking me that if 2 former offensive leaders on the team were there would the defense have been eating hamburgers at Hofstra? Do you really even know what events took place that led to them eating hamburgers on the field? No, other than somebody standing there on Hard Knocks holding a paper bag filled with burgers. That's the funny part about Hard Knocks - a 30 second montage of burger-eating and a passionate speech in a banquet hall the night before a preseason game and it gets twisted into 'We never should have let Jones or Faneca go.' You also don't know the details of what happened in the locker room past the vague 3rd hand recollections that were reported, so saying that you don't think it would happened with Jones and Faneca in the locker room is beyond absurd unless you're trying to support an agendum.
Good question. I answered D because even without the distractions I am not sure this team has the right people to go to the SB. Option D, unlike A, does not reference the SB. Hence that is the difference. Ftr I am not saying the Jets will not go to the SB. Just that if they don't, I don't think it will be because of distractions. Imo this whole notion of distractions is overrated. Not that they cannot be a problem. But it takes something that is not only big but happens at a really bad time, like when the Raiders lost their starting center the day before the SB.
per·se·vere/ˌpərsəˈvi(ə)r/Verb: Continue in a course of action even in the face of difficulty or with little or no indication of success. Really.... 'cause I misspelled a word:lol::beer:fftopic:
I must have missed it last year when these types of issues were happening while Faneca and Jones were here.
I remember Sanchez eating a hot-dog on the sidelines during the Raiders game. What about that incident?
Makes you wonder why that same mistake was made again this year - this time on the practice field. Our team is very undisciplined right now both on and off the field.
Faneca and TJ were there last year. Looks like good ole #20 sitting next to Sanchez while he's eating the dog..
At work I'm very disciplined. I work hard, and do my best to make as much money for myself and my company. I don't get involved in office bullshit, nor am I a distraction to other coworkers. Outside of work I'm a scumbag. I party all night a few days out of the week, drink copious amounts of alcohol, do drugs, and debauch everything. I don't give a shit what these players do off the field, so long as it doesn't affect their performance on the field. Braylon is a scumbag, always has been, but he played great on Sunday. I don't give a shit about anything else.
We have an dicipline issue and it's much worse this year than it's been in a long time here. There's two common denominators. One is Rex Ryan and Two is no locker room leaders. You want to keep talking about the Hot Dog incident which is silly since it's gone to a much worse level this year.
We had men acting like men with this walked into the room: We had a guy go out and get a DUI on his day off. We had a bunch of players eating burgers on the practice field.. No murders and no fires. Brought up the hot dog issue because its funny.
Exactly. Jets haters piling on everywhere, who cares. I don't give a fuck, happy to have Rex continue on doing everything he's been doing.
Embrace the haters, the more the better, this team I'm sure sees it all the time and uses it as motivation Winning the Lombardi would be the ultimate slap to those haters
No way, Murrell. I think you unwittingly stumbled upon 2 of the levels on the Ladder of Undscipline. Silly = Hot Dog Much Worse Level = Many hamburgers If we see Dustin Keller carrying a 37 inch pizza through the endzone after a touchdown, this team is doomed.
