Yea but with the Jets its almost a fucking gurantee... And what is it with this team playing after a bye? They look like all the progress that was built up the previous 6-9 games just left.
every team loses games they should win every year even the top teams. we follow the Jets closely so we think it only happens to us but it happens to everyone.
Right, it is unlikely. I just gave W's and L's as to my feeling on games on an individual basis since it is June. Once the season starts, it all changes. No doubt they will win games I said they will lose and will likely lose games I said they will win. The final 6 all look winnable was all I was saying.
Even so the Bengals are very shaky because they lost both assistant head coaches in the same off-season. Playoff teams change year in and year out - I don't see why the Jets can't be there when it's all said and done.
I agree. There is always a surprise team. Some may say that could be the Jets. Could be the Browns, or Titans. Maybe Miami or Buffalo make a run.
I hate Miami to death, and I am saying this with all of that aside. There is slim to no chance Miami makes a run. They have a big question mark still at RB with Moreno injured and out of shape. They have no offensive line, and now Pouncey is out 3-4 months with an injury. They still lack any big playmakers at receiver opposite of Wallace who was a bust last season. Other than a solid defense, they don't have much going for them. Buffalo I could see emerging, but we are talking about the Bills here. They never seem to emerge. Although, they have the weapons to do it this season as long as Manuel is average.
It could easily be us. Along with 3 or 4 other teams [Titans, Raiders, Buffalo, Browns] in the surprise column contending for a spot in the dance. At the end of the season, we will be there when it counts. I like the acquisitions we made this off-season, we are absolutely on the come-up. I'm excited about this year. I believe the Bengals will take a step back this year big time.
There's at least one team in our own division that has sniffed more jock straps than playoffs in the last TEN FRICKEN years.
IF we make the PO's it will be really close, most likely we win a tie breaker with 2-3 other teams. To have a good shot at winning a tie breaker, we can split in the AFCE but we really need to beat the other AFC teams to have a head-to-head advantage: Week 1-Raiders-W Week 2-@Packers-W or L Week 3-Bears-W or L Week 4-Lions-W or L Week 5-@Chargers-W Week 6-Broncos-W Week 7-@Patriots- Split Week 8-Bills- Split Week 9-@Chiefs- W Week 10-Steelers- W BYE Week 12-@Bills- Split Week 13-Dolphins- Split Week 14-@Vikings- W or L Week 15-@Titans- W Week 16-Patriots- Split Week 17-@Dolphins- Split If we split our division (3-3), win the other AFC games (6-0), and lose all the NFC games (0-4) we come out 9-7 and hold most of the tie breakers. The 6 AFC games highlighted above should determine if we make the POs. But of course if we win 10 games we don't have to worry about tie breakers!
I think the Jets have a better chance of winning 10 games than they do of winning all their AFC games.
lol .. if i speak my mind ill get called a homer ... deep inside i feel like we have the team to make a serious push .. but then again were the jets so..
You're right of course...I was just pointing out the 6 games that could be the most important to making the POs. But now that I wrote that post we'll probably go ahead and lose all 6 games.
