    DUMB.

This just shows you have the approximate intelligence of Geno himself.

Listen dingbat, any ethical, decent human being that intends to build chemistry and camaraderie on a professional football team knows both of scumbags should have been cut. The ONLY reason why Geno was not cut at the time of the altercation, was because the salary cap implications were prohibitive.

And in regards to a suggestion for a starting QB in 2017? First of all, there are no decent options. Our roster is full of underperforming, sketchy at best QB's and that limits our choices even further. We can't cut Bryce or Hack, but they are certainly not ready to start either. Those two kids have to be seen through and that requires more time.

One thing that is abundantly clear, is Geno is not an option. He's an idiot and he's as dumb as dirt. ANYONE is better than Geno AKA Ryan Leaf. He's a horrible QB and an even worse person.

Mike Glennon would seem like the best choice of obvious selections, although if Watson is there at 6? Or somehow Trubisky falls? Then, that's a choice you must make. Would you rather go with Glennon? All the while knowing he is not the future? Or would you rather draft one of the top two QB's and start the kid from day one?

Either scenario is a hard one to accept. In both cases, the Jets are going to be much like the Cleveland Browns in 2017. But in either scenario there's a possibility it would be what is best for the Jets beyond 2017....

The article brought up so many compelling points. With woody leaving for the UK, it could be holmgrens team from top to bottom. I agree, get her some tickets and be done with it!

There's no doubt in my mind unless Toilet shows vast improvement with his coaching prowess, he is gone either during the 2017 season or immediately after the season. I also can't imagine Mac is very far behind? His drafting is garbage besides Leonard Williams.

But that's the bright side. We only have to tolerate Toilet for one more season at the most and he's gone. If the whole thing gets blown up, then we can hope Woody can hire a guy like Holmgren. Anything is better than what we currently have.

Screw Holmgren, we chastised Chan Gailey for being too old and we should have selected Gailey in the death pool.

Now we as fans want a 68 year old as GM and HC, cmon guys, these guys are done, he belongs on the golf course enjoying his retirement, why hasn't anyone else reached out to him?

Keep the youth movement going in the organization as a whole, from FO to players.

Jenkins and Burris were alright. Peake was a steal in the 7th. Robbie Anderson undrafted? Shell improved a lot.

Master Chan got a bit of a raw deal but his play calls were getting stale..

I am all in favor of young coaches as long as they are GOOD..You don't like MH then take S Payton hes much younger

To me experience and brains trumps age..Red Would you say no if Andy Reid or BB graced us with their presence? They command respect and can win games...all I care about

You mean even if he had accepted the Jets offer, you wouldn't have wanted him? Given his pedigree for success I think that's ridiculous. Especially when you consider our current front office and where they've taken the team in the last two seasons?

    Yep ..those deals not bad

But my beef with Mac is that 75 percent of the rest eg the RevisFitz deals negotiating against himself bad FA deals spending more $ on D not Offense Lee, Hackenberg have really sunk him.......and I initially liked MM

the next 2 months are dealbreakers for him

You know I have no control over what happens with them, if he had taken the job I would have wished for the best and waited like I do with all their hires.

My issue with someone like Holmgren is the age, he has been out of football and it's a grind. He didn't do a good job as GM in Cleveland in comparison to his HC resume, he also wouldn't have Favre or an easy conference like the NFC West where 9-7 wins you a division.

Mac is a young GM, let him put his stamp on the team, I don't want to get into an argument as I already know how you feel about Mac, I don't agree with you, but I respect your opinion.

All I'm saying is, let's see what the young guys do going into this season, it's impossible for every player drafted to make all pro in their second season.

I think TB is the weak link in this organization and I don't think he will make it past the halfway mark next year.

So you think Toilet gets fired by week 8 and Mac gets a pass? I certainly think that's a possible scenario? Woody might be getting constant nudges to keep Mac in the fold by Charlie Casserly???

The Toilet fire, I get. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he gets fired midseason. It would be a first for Woody to do that, but I don't believe he's beyond doing that.

We can agree to disagree, but what I see from Mac is a guy that has all of his eggs in the Leonard Williams basket? If he hadn't made that pick? If Leo had not fallen in Mac's lap? Do you think his job would be safe right now? In other words, if the 2015 board had fallen just the way everyone figured, and Williams was gone long before pick #6, and the Jets had still made the very same identical picks other than Leo over the past two drafts, do you still think Mac's job would be safe? Do you think he would still be revered by so many?

I say no. In fact, I think Jets fans would be calling for Mac's head as much, if not more than Toilet's?

It's that whole "continuity" thing that keeps getting mentioned by so many? They think that even when something is very clearly NOT working, that the Jets must stay with it for the sake of continuity?

If it's not working, you MUST fix it. Not tomorrow, not after the season, not in two seasons, it must be fixed right NOW. That's the ONLY thing logical thing to do. Because if you continue on this path of continuity, how much DEEPER does the teams problems get? How much more work does the next GM have to do to unfuck all of the damage that the current front office has done?

Einstein: "the definition of insanity is doing something over and over again and expecting the same result"

Why is it we are the only ones who have no desire to go insane with this pathetic franchise?

    hehe

I don't know your age Red but I do like most of your posts

I suspect you are middle aged ( not in your 20s ),,so if you are 40s that's making Holmgren 20 years older but not 40..

Most CEOs in US are in their 60s ..go check it out (Trump is 70 lol)

The difference between MH and MM is age AND experience to me that's a good thing,,ie hes pretty smart imo despite Cleveland and he could always always hire Mac to help him with the grind..ahah
