Chad threw balls 5 or 10 yards. There is no science involved in that.

Group of people? It was one writer from Baltimore quoting one scout saying he was a weak arm and won't be able to throw at home. Meanwhile, Brian Schott said one of things he loves about Sanchez, is his arm strength. You can't make this shit up

The one thing everybody said when he came out, all of the scouts, was that he could make ALL the throws required in the NFL. You can't do that without a very strong arm. Like somebody said he another thread, you aren't voted the best QB in high school without a good arm.

Well you guys have to remember that he's been living in SoCal and playing there his whole life, so he hasn't had to deal with bad weather very often.

    It's the Hoffa "tick-tock" effect.

this is very true, it doesnt so much have to do with arm strength but he will have to get acclimated to playing in the cold, wind, rain and all the other crap we have to offer in the greater new york area in the fall. this is something that could be nothing or could affect him fairly regularly until he gets used to it.

That's one of the first things I noticed when I first watched video of him. It's pretty damn good.

Relax, I just thought it was interesting that "these people" felt differently them most everybody else myself included. I have been really impressed with his arm strength so far, really impressed. One last thing, can you tell what fingers up right now, good choice!

Last time I checked a guy named Montana didn't have a cannon and he played in a stadium, Candlestick, with swirling winds that were terrible and he did OK...

Chad's arm was ridiculously weak by NFL standards and he did pretty good as well...

Sanchez is starting to look shell shocked out there, maybe rex hurried the decision a bit... when has Sanchez looks confident running the O, besides his first drive ever..... no need ruining the kid by getting him in there to early when he isnt ready.

Just thinking more about this, arm strength critiquing is one of the things that really bothers me about some fans. A lot of fans out there bring up arm strength as a negative if the kid has anything less than a howitzer for an arm. You don't need a missile arm to succeed in the NFL, people forget that before even Chad got hurt, he had enough arm strength to be a good NFL QB.

Sanchez is looking pretty damn good tonight all things considered. Will the Jets stop with the fucking penalties though?
