The way I look at it now, we start every game 7 points down, because you just KNOW at some point he will throw a pick 6. At this point, I think Sanchez is as good as he will ever get. Sad to think about it that way....
That's a bit extreme, he doesn't throw a pick six a game. You could argue we start 7 points down because he will ruin a potential TD drive with a fumble or red zone pick. There's really no need to exaggerate how bad Sanchez is with turnovers, the numbers speak volumes.
Out of the 56 that voted 'YES', I wonder how many of those would LIKE him to throw a pick 6. Wishing any team member to fail is as horrible as it gets in fandom.
I would like for him to throw several. I think he's a turnover machine and that's never going to change so I want a different QB to start for the Jets. I'm a Jets fan, not a Sanchez fan. Sanchez hurts the Jets. I want him on the bench. Now if it were a game that actually mattered obviously I wouldn't root for him to play poorly. I'd just cringe the entire game while hoping he didn't.
Excellent post. This is precisely how I feel. edit: The bolded perfectly describes me watching the Jets over the past 4 years.
i chuckled last week when someone posted about sancho throwing a pick 6, i didnt think it could happen. then it did.... so while the odds say it cant happen again, i wont be surprised if it does.
I'm no Sanchez fan but a Jets fan too and believe me I don't think he will learn either, but all the while he's on the team, I'll root for him. Theres still a modicum of hope that he will learn and fit the system. I'm certainly not lambasting fans who don't want him on the team, but to wishing him to fuck up? C'mon. Each to their own though
Right. Like Pennington was a turnover machine, in 06,07. Like Favrewas a turnover machine, in 08. Seeing a pattern here? Now, hey the toss to Ziggy was fucktarded, but he put up a 100 passer rating, one correct ready on TBo, he spikes it gets the call, and puts up a rating of 150. None us knows how good a player, he is or can be. You have to judge by the yardstick, of the other players under the same OC and hes been better than all of them. Outplaying Favre, and Pennington, is no small feat. If Morningwood gets his completion pct. North of 60...we would almost never lose a game.
How about finding out what kind of player he can be. Both Favre, and Pennington were demonstrably worse, playing for Schotty. If you want to blame Sanchez, at least give him credit for putting 32 scores up in 2011, and going plus 6. No other QB ever approached those numbers under schotty, and only Bradford manged plus8, on 21 scores. Penny, 17, maybe 18 TDs. Favre 22, plus another on foot. Guy takes you deep into the playoffs, then puts up the biggest numbers under a schit OC...and has one losing season, and you act like he is Rich fucking Kotite.
Not quite, 76.9, but still damn good 13 Atts 10 Comps and 125yds 1 TD 1 int..that went for 6. Bonehead. New system, new season and for me clean slate. Right now he's the best QB on the team based on stats and performance.
99.8 passer rating. Who wouldnt have signed up for that going in? But, half of the completions were 20 or more as well.... I just think they guy deserves this shot, and Geno does not deserve to be thrown to the lions.
Hoping against hope that the new OC and this system will lead to Sanchez's redemption. Remember how pitiful the Jets looked in PS last year? I know it's just one PS game so far, but isn't hoping we won't suck part of being a Jets fan? lol
