Sometimes it's a little hard to defend someone after they've constantly found new and unique ways to embarrass their fanbase week in and week out.

When your favorite team is considered the laughingstock of their respective sport, most of the vitriol is usually targeted towards one individual, and unfortunately for him that one individual is Sanchez.

Also let it be known I want a Sanchez to start, just wanted to make it clear I'm not one of those fools with blind sanchez hatred like TNJet.

    Good/great QB's get leeway. Shit QB's don't, that's life.

the fans embarrass the franchise much more than a buttfumble in a lost game.

How are Jets fans embarrassing? I can count on one hand the amount of home playoff games this team has had over the past 30 years. The fanbase is bitter for a reason.

Ok, give me specific examples of how the fans have embarrassed themselves more than the abortion that was last season.

read the posts here every day, go to games and see how the fans behave.

It's not the fault of the guys on the team now that we haven't seen a home playoff game since 2002. It's not our fault Tom Brady came around and turned NE into a dynasty. We have seen a lot of playoff football. Ask fans in Miami(1 app since '02), Buf(zero since '00), Cle(1 since coming back into the league), Det(1 since '00), etc... those fans are suffering, we've had damn good teams and in the parity era most teams go up and down.

And the fanbase is embarrassing how?

Don't get me wrong I wish games had a Seahawks like atmosphere, but Jets fans are just like any other fanbase that hast won a championship. An of course it doesn't help the Jets share he city w a more successful franchise.

look at the Sanchez situation, look at Rex. Fans wanted Rex fired, a man w/ more playoff wins than any HC in our history. Even when we are good if something bad happens in a game the fans boo. I don't boo, I feel silly as an adult booing people for being able to do what I can't BUT I understand when the team is bad that people boo but when we are winning? it's embarrassing and w/ one bad year to want Rex gone? asinine.

2 bad years actually. .500 doesn't mean shit. Rex should have took Mark out and tried everyone at the QB spot. At least go down swinging.

It's the NFL. It's a win now business, this isn't a charity. Are Bengals fans a better group bc Lewis has been there so long? They bitch and boo just like Jeta fans do.

As far as Sanchez goes, he was beyond terrible last year. Every fanbase would have wanted him out.

So past accomplishments should give immunity to present bad performance?

we weren't bad in 2011, we were mediocre coming off the best 2 year stretch in franchise history- the ONLY 2 year stretch where we won playoff games in back to back seasons.

Lewis is a great example, it took him a while to win, he eventually did then they fell again and now they are back up again. he could have been fired many times and they stuck w/ him. Now they are seeing the benefit of that. Same thing for Coughlin but we want new HCs and QBs every 2-3 years.

As for mark, he was awful but no QB would have succeeded w/ the healthy talent he had to throw and hand off to.

Not immunity but we should be able to se we can win big with him and that 2012 wasn't all on him. He's got one last shot this year, let's hope he takes advantage.

You can take it to the bank he'll turn it over in some embarrassing fashion. Pick 6, red zone pick, badly thrown ball, snap whatever it is you can be assured something stupid and avoidable is coming.

The Bengals havent won anything. Their owner is just cheap, that's why Lewis has stuck around so long. Has nothing to do with patience.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't like Rex as a fan of the team. Great motivator, fun in a presser, outstanding defensive mind, took us to two AFCCGs in his first two years.

He loses his best defender and best offensive skill position player and finishes with 6 wins, and everyone makes it sound worse than the Kotite years.

I do believe Rex deserves at least another year or two as well. But I also understand WHY Rex gets criticized as well. I won't argue against anyone who isn't completely sold on Rex.

Nope. Horrible example. Bengal ownership is cheap and miserly and they didn't want to pay off a contract for a fired employee.
