JD Haters have moved on from drafting Will 2 years ago and now bitch he didn't draft a Tight End last year. - ironically 2 years ago it should have been an Oline man, but this year critics are upset its Oline over TE? Wtf?
I saw a couple of plays in the second half where he was the first man in the backfield and stopped forward progress. That's something Haason Reddick and Bryce Huff don't usually do. He seems like he's a lot stronger than his frame would allow
Yeah McDonald is really lanky but his weight is distributed well. Definitely a natural/smooth athlete. I'd still like to see him add another move or two but his bend/speed rush and spin as counter move are already very good.
It's five. One of the sacks and the forced fumble are gifts. He was out of the play and Levis tripped on his foot and then threw ball up for grabs like an idiot. He's made some plays and they're using him to his strengths
He has made some plays? Give me a break, please. He has been a terror out there. Gifts or no gift every one gets them but not everyone makes it happen. We will be in deep shit without him. He is just as good if not better now with a much higher ceiling than Huff.
Lol, I'm not trying degrade him. I've defended him here. And have defended the pick. And you will never see me bash the pick whatever happens. He has a couple of huge sacks and plays and I love the effort and guy. But I'm not sure he's a terror, yet. On many plays he's being handled, even pancaked. I do believe that he's going through a bit of trial by fire because of Reddick and JJ. Having watched him and listened to him I also believe he's going to adjust and succeed. I 'm also saying on that sack and fumble he was driven into the ground by that LT. But I still love it. And btw, as soon as he was moved to the left side against their RT he became a big problem, for Tenn and NE, and mentioned that as a great sign. I'm just not going crazy over those numbers yet either
I would agree with that 100%. He is a couple of moves and some power away to be special. But his growth from last year( minimum exposure thanks to our HC ) to this year has been exceptional.
I also said after the Tenn. game that one of the sacks came after they dropped him back in a middle zone/spy, and that he made a good play taking down Levis after he broke the pocket; That they were using him differently and to be patient with him. This was after getting my balls broken for defending the guy, and why I was defending the guy, before the season started after people were declaring up him a bust and wasted pick. LOL
Will, 100% with you. I got flamed for the same reason. I’m also quite impressed with the contributions of our rookies on the D line after JJ went down.
You know, it’s interesting…not to hate on a guy but for sure it feels satisfying to see a guy that we let walk out the door because we didn’t want to pay him not do well now that he got paid. But regardless of what he does or doesn’t do at Philly, when he was here, in our D, he was a very productive guy. Just because he’s not doing much so far in Philly doesn’t necessarily mean he wouldn’t be balling here like he did last year. Sure it’s possible that he was playing for a contract last year and is now more complacent now that he got paid, which could have happened here, but it’s not a sure bet. We’ll never know…
Huff is not an every down player but Reddick is solid on all downs, which is why he was an intriguing player to come here.
