Like many of you, I questioned this pick, but, I also (admittedly) questioned taking a CB so early last year......now, I have his jersey. So, who knows, hopefully, he'll surprise us all.
Does anyone know the name of the gentleman on the Jets staff that predicted JJ would “ chase down from behind that mofo Allen”? I kinda trust that guy to be on draft staff
Generally buying a jersey of a new Jets player could be better spent elsewhere. I would always tell my my rabid Jets fan friend, Vinnie, to use the 3 year rule to see if a guy flames out 1st and then he always goes, "Fck it, Marty Lyons it is!" We love Marty. Here's comes the cat story . . . I've told this story before and I'm telling it, again too bad. Years ago Vinnie found an orange tabby cat injured on the side of the road in the rain. The cat had a bad head wound. Vinnie saved his life and named him Marty Lions. 1) For Marty Lyons 2) Lions because he was a cat and 3) because he was a bleeder. Maybe because of Marty's mild TBI he didn't like anyone much but he couldn't get enough of Vinny. Cat lived to 22, RIP Marty Lions. So that's my Jets Cat Story because at one point it had something to do with jerseys. EDIT & P.S.: Vinny used to say Marty was kneading up a storm, "giving him the business", ha. OK, everyone enjoy their Quinton Coples jerseys or whatever.
Sauce tape was phenomenal and I knew he would become an immediate starter. Will McDonald will need to put meat on those bones to play in NFL to take down guys like Allen. but he was picked #15 and not #4. Saleh will need to figure this one out as it seems like it was his pick squarely.
