Well, it is depressing that we've had this thread twice now. I'm sure we'll make it three next week when he doesn't complete 10 passes and still somehow remains the starter.
Simms would have had 10 completions in the second half, if not for that brutal Nelson drop. Just sayin'. 13
Geno has faced that as well and still couldn't manage 10 completions. Bad excuse. And what about Smith?
You know the hilarity of this statement is many teams are STARTING their 3rd stringers! Even MORE hilarious...we are about to play a team who is STARTING a street F/A Undrafted Rookie...from the QB factory Penn State...and even HE looks better than our 2nd round wunderkind. Think before you post. I forgot...I voted not just no...but HELL NO!
That last one really bothered me...so I went digging.... Cleveland Houston Jacksonville Tennessee (when Locker is hurting) Oaktown Philadelphia Chicago Green Bay Minnesota (now there is a QB Carousel) Tampa Rams - Need I say more... At points in the season all these teams have started has beens, retreads and nobodies. That's a 3rd of the league...not including us which tips the scales at 12 teams. Now, factor in Geno Smith and he is the WORST of all of them. Now explain to me, again, why Matt Simms shouldn't get some practice time and a chance?? Get with the program...esshhhh...
Gee thanks for supporting the youth on our team. If you want to make a thread bashing Geno, then make one, don't hide behind a farce of an insulting poll.
How about I start whatever thread I like and if you don't like it you don't read it? Thanks for your usual useless, homerific comments.
+1 A healthier offensive cast, assuming it doesn't break down in the first quarter, might be the spark needed to get Geno back on his feet. Then again, its amazing he's been this bad this many consecutive weeks.
Jets also are the lowest scoring team in the entire NFL... that takes more than terrible QB play to accomplish.
Just being honest. Sure, start whatever thread you want. I'll make whatever comment about the subject matter that I want. I just don't think insulting a rookie QB this early in his career is the way to go about things as a Jets fan, and it creates a hostile environment for our players, but hey, that's your opinion and you're welcome to it.
sometimes, Barcs it is a waste of effort to bother even reading the drivel posted by clowns such as him
Who's hiding behind anything? There's nothing to see through ya chooch. This is a thread discussing Geno's inability to complete 10 lousy passes in a game over the past month and a half with a poll asking whether people believe he will this week? I'm really really sorry if that hurts your feelings or blows up your terrific unrealistic view of Geno and/or the Jets. Now if you have something related to the thread to add, please add it. Otherwise you're just hijacking the thread with your bullshit.
You are right my man...Geno definitely is not doing this all on his own. Unfortunately he's no catalyst to get us out of it either...sad to say. To the poster above about McGloin...compare the product. They are quite equal as far as production goes...maybe not wins but production. They do not have the defense we do. Let's not forget we are comparing a 2nd round draft pick with a street F/A that shouldn't even be in the conversation. We'll see who's "better" after Sunday. Sadly...my money is on McGloin. I have zero confidence in Smith at this point. Oh, I forgot to point out...when I say production I am only talking yds....because there is ZERO comparison when it comes to completions and turnovers. McGloin wins HANDS DOWN.
Everyone stay on topic. Further disruption of this thread will be dealt with accordingly. There is no reason for anyone to think there is some hidden agenda by the OP. It's just a thread about Geno being able to complete 10 passes.
