The Sox are neurotic. They have the best staff in the majors, the best record, are running away with the division, and still are scared.
Oh boo fucking hoo. The Mets didn't get Gagne. So just because the Sox have the best bullpen that doesn't mean they should make it better if they can? BTW, thanks junc, I'm pretty excited.
I don't have anything against the sox, it's just funny how they're the hands down best team in the majors right now and still felt a pressing need to add another arm. I can see where the sox/yankee inferiority complex talk comes from. sox dont win the WS this year, it'll be criminal.
I'm glad he went to Boston, I can still root for him. In Texas he might as well have been playing in Panama, I think I saw him once. So happy he didn't go to the Yankees. The one idiot in the Post keeps calling him "Lights Out", that was Brad Lidge. Gagne is and will forever be "Game Over". I wonder if Boston will play "Welcome to The Jungle" when he enters the game. Dodger Stadium used to rock when he came in, after a while the telecast wouldn't go to commercial, they'd stick with it and show his entrance. It became an event.
Like I said in that other thread, the only way to beat them now is to jump their starters and make the pen irrelevent. That's the only way I see beating them. Like Baltimore did to Beckett last night. Of course your own BP has to be good enough to keep a lead once you get it, it just doesn't have to be as good as theirs.
