Sprinter teams will be the type to benefit from a shortened season. The teams with the right combination of youthful inexperience and aged players that run out of physical and emotional gas right around the time a normal season's Wildcard round arrives. Teams like the Titans of 2008, the Colts of the early 2000's and the Dolphins throughout most of the 90's. The Jets took a gamble that they can disguise rookie deficiency with an early bloomer in a shortened season. And the Jets are definitely a sprinter. We saw that in 2010.
