I know they have to protect the punter, but I just hate B.S. first downs like that.

Detroit looks really good. On defense, they are hitting Romo and limiting Murray and on offense they are running it at will. Nice start for them.

Dominate performance thus far by the Lions OL and DL. I just don't trust the Cowboys and I never did.

A game like this was bound to happen.

No because Dallas would be playing better.

This is going to test the Dallas Psyche big time. I'm really fascinated to see how they respond.

Oh boy. Dallas might be in trouble. Detroit is hitting Romo on every passing down.

I'm concerned. Playing from behind kills the run to.

Huge drive right here imo. Absolutely crucial.

Too early to say it's over, but Detroit couldn't have played a better 1st quarter.

I didn't like the matchup with Detroit's line, I just thought Dallas had to good of a season to go one and done. That was a nightmare first quarter.

The one thing about Detroit is that they have a markedly better defense than Dallas does. As the game goes on and they gain confidence, they could start to impose their will on the game.

    Detroit played very good.

Detroit DL is scary good. No wonder they were so highly ranked against the run. They are making Dallas OL their bitch so far. Let's see if they can play a full 60 minute game.

Dallas is passing WAY too much. It's very telling that they aren't running on 1st and 10 and 2nd and 10. It tells me they don't think they can run on this team. If they can't, they aren't going to win. They obviously can't protect Romo well enough without a really good complimentary running game.

The Lions are just overloading the right side of Dallas's OL.

At this point the Cowboys have to keep Witten in as a blocker.

I am SO CONFUSED. It was 3rd, and 19. The Cowboys had a roughly 15 yard completion.

The next play suddenly it was 4th, and 19, and they punted.

    What happened?

Detroit's D looks great right now, Romo hasn't had a running game or a chance on most passing plays

You hear that. It is the sound of the Cowboy fans jumping off the wagon.
