Whether it was or not, Burfict and Pacman have to know the game situation and deserved what they got.
If they fire Lewis, they're making a mistake. Consistenly gets te best out of tose with strong scheming and a strong head coaching staff. If they don't loss their starting QB, they finish with the one or two seed.
There is no justification for throwing a game deciding flag over some push and shove after you've already given the Bengals a game deciding penalty. A 50 yard field goal becomes a 35 yard field goal. The refs should be fired. I wouldn't want those refs in a Jet game. I'm sorry but it looks like they were bribed.
How do u know he clearly saw him? Hes going full speed head down and receiver happened to drop the ball. Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk
The Steelers actually had 2 more penalties called on them then the Bengals did. So how many more would've suited you? Its not Pitts fault..or the refs fault , that the Bengals penalties decided the game.
In normal circumstances I'd agree. But again, the teams had been warned, the players had been warned, several flags for minor offenses had gone out during the game. Jones should have kept his dick in his pants and stayed out of the fracus rather than risk a penalty in a volatile situation where EVERYONE knew the league had told the refs to put up with nothing. Get over it.
Watch the replay? That's how I know. NFL players don't run with their heads down, specifically linebackers that play at a near All-Pro level. His head is up the entire time and being the thug he is in a split second decision he decided to drop his shoulder and try to end his career. Regardless if he saw him or not (which I'm sure he did), any contact to a receiver or ball carriers head like that is going to draw a flag ESPECIALLY after the player doesn't catch the ball. A flag is probably thrown even if he does catch it. That BTW dwarfs our loss. That's one of the worst losses I've ever seen.
Needless, stupid fumble to give Pitt the ball back! Cincy (Jeremy Hill) shouldn't have been running the ball in the first place: take three knees, burn the clock---or make the Steelers burn theirs---then kick the FG to put themselves up 4 with about 40 seconds to go - game over. And I put a lot of this on Marvin Lewis…….he's still carrying selfish, uncontrollable thugs on his roster. If Burfict's post-INT jaunt down the field and into the tunnel at the far end of the stadium didn't give "I, me!" notice as it was…. Was happy for McCarron; would've been a nice 'ugly' win…….but after that dirty head shot from Burfict, screw the Bengals. And the rest of the Bengals roster (who've worked their ass off since training camp) can thank the selfish bastards on their 'team' for single-handedly throwing everything out the window. Burfict was a PI machine at Arizona State and still a PI machine that cost his team. Jail Pool candidate.
Referees missed the horribly blatent helmet to helmet by shazier on Giovanni Bernard earlier in the quarter. I mean blatent! Didn't miss the call to benefit Pittsburgh tho
Maybe you're right. But deciding a playoff game on a judgment call. Then adding another 15 yards on top of it over some pushing and shoving? That's way too much. That's awful officiating.
The Bengals should have stayed right away from Brown while he was being looked at. Lewis should have called the D over to the sidelines and told them to fucking calm down
