I dont think I've ever looked forward to playoff football less than I am this year. Might have to over bet and over drink just to keep myself interested. Thinking we'll have all road teams win this weekend. Not sure if thats ever happened before.
Makes it even worse that there are actual winnable games on the schedule this postseason. Imagine the hype around here if we were facing an AJ McCarron led Bengals team tonight. Would be sky high. We'd all be booking tickets for Denver. Really a bummer.
Listening to Charlie Casserly on NFL Network he was outlining what/how he looks for in hiring a Coach: Presence, Communication,Character, and then on interview Judgement on who you will hire, and finally Vision for team winning/Offense Defense etc He then went on to say "well there are also some qualified Coaches who dont interview very well ..like,like Todd Bowles and T Dungy who have little personality BUT YOU TAKE A GAMBLE ON" Woops..I know he and R Wolf advised Woody and are well respected but what goes on here? Next year Bowles will be getting a Rolls Royce of talent from Mac I am sure. to add to the present talent..how do you think he will be driving??
If Im guessing Id say its gonna be slightly less talent then what he had this year. Only 2 of Sheldon, Wilk and Snacks will be back. So that will leave a whole , but it should still be a very good d-line. I dont wanna say next year will be make or break for Bowles , because to me the Jets could go 3-13 and he will probably still come back for another season , but none of us are happy with 10 wins. Bears fired Lovie Smith a few years ago after a 10-6 non playoff year. So its def not an accomplishment. Its just weird how thing are. If we were an NFC team and an ass kicking from Carolina or Arizona was on the horizon next week I wouldnt really care too much about missing out on the playoffs , but I look at Denver and New England and I see flawed teams. But I also cant see any of the playoff teams this weekend going in and upsetting either. Super Bowl is going to expose the AFC this year if the Cards or Panthers are in it.
Agree, bout our three defensive stars one missing. However, the way Mac is building we make up for it with better ST, punt returner, OL, OLB/ILB,RBs maybe better WRs to back up our 1 and 2. So talent level is at least even or better Bowles needs to win Division and/or go 11-5 for playoff run. IMO Mac will be pissed with 3-13.....I am handing my coach blue chip FA and rookies and total reversal of fortune??? No way. Yes, missing a big opportunity to go out a weaker AFC...it sux sux sux I like Arians so hope Cards win. Cam Newton can go buy a clothes store lol
Yep Im pulling for Arizona too. Lots of guys on that team deserve one. Fitz mostly. So it seems like thats a majority pick. Just dont wanna any Cinderella stories out of the AFC cause it would just further piss me off about the Jets lol.
I'm taking (5) Chiefs over (4) Texans, (3) Bengals over (6) Steelers, (6) Seahawks over (3) Vikings, (5) Packers over (4) Redskins. Then Broncos over Chiefs, Bengals over Patriots, Seahawks over Panthers, Cardinals over Packers. Broncos over Bengals, Cardinals over Seahawks. Cardinals over Broncos.
That was maybe the most wide open return TD I've ever seen. There was no one even on the screen when he was at the 50.
Texans fans already loudly booing. Wonder how long before they realize they're just a garbage team that doesn't belong in the playoffs.
It makes me sick that we lost to this Texans team and that they;re playing in WC over us. I wanted a remach.
