I'd be more worried if the Jets were 3-0 so far. Preseason goes by the "opposite rule." (Crosses fingers)
What was wrong with cheering for him? It's no big deal. Preseason is the time for them to get to see him play. He threw more passes last night than he will all season.
Why? did you see him run w/ the ball? that will be his role for this team NOT as a regular QB. he's going to help us win games, our O wll look very different w/ a full complment of weapons week 1.
It's amazing to me how many idiots there are out there that think Tebow will even be throwing five times a game let alone 15-20 like he has been. I'm just wasting my energy typing this again, but the Tim Tebow we have seen in the preseason is close to nothing like Tim Tebow we will be seeing in the regular season. He was not brought here to be a three-step drop and throw quarterback.
Sanchez really looked pretty solid last night. That INT off of Hill's numbers was ridiculous. He looked poised and accurate the entire first half. The difference week to week was amazing with Hunter not out there getting Sanchez killed every other play. Defense looked pretty solid too. I hope Landry can play 12+ games this year. He impressed me a bunch last night. 13 more days. Can't wait.
Amen, Austin played great against good pass rusher. Laron landry played great as well. Kenrick Ellis looked good. We need a RB and a WR now.
I was actually furious last night that fans booed the Sanchez INT, like it was even remotely his fault. Lets face it, a lot of our fans are fuckin morons.
Pretty much. This fanbase is terrible. Half of us would rather see the team fail just to satisfy their egos and be right about all their negative comments. The Tebow chants were no doubt a chant against Sanchez. There were no Sanchez chants and he played well. Tebow has looked awful, yet those clown ass dipshits still chant his name. It's sad to see Jets fans stoop to that level.
I'm in the perfect situation right now. The team looks mediocre to me and so I think they'll be mediocre this season. If they succeed, well I was wrong and I'll be happy to admit it but happier that the Jets are doing well. If they bomb out though? Well, then I'm just being an optimist at this point, like usual.
I agree completely. The yearly negativity is sad but understandable since many equate being a Jets fan to being annually disappointed, shocked, and saddened. Losing and ugly football is a big part of our identity, so we protect this culture by tearing down the team and bitching about its flaws every year.
I think we have the worst fanbase in the NFL. A lot of good apples but not enough to makeup for the idiots that go to our stadium booing
Sanchez, Tebow, and Greene all on the field at the same time. We're running the triple option, bitches!
100% in the same boat my friend. Just expect to be bombarded with SOJF accusations by the stupid Sunshiners for your audacity to criticize the Jets at all. How dare you???? Clearly all is well. Nothing to see here.
How dare they blindly cheer for an organization they have spent years and years spending $$ on tix, cable/satellite packages, jerseys, and so forth on a team that hasn't won since '68. And you know what....f*ck them for being loyal. Tell them if they are negative, they should root for another team when most of you will move on on a few years.
Guess what? I've done the same fucking thing since 1997. You don't see me being all negative Nancy booing Mark Sanchez for Tim Tebow who could barely complete a pass against 2nd and 3rd stringers. There's one thing to boo an awful QB, there's another to boo the one that's better for one that completely sucks against worse competition. A lot of fans lack common sense. I love my team, but I hate a lot of Jet fans, each time I have a convo with them the first thing is Tim Tebow this and Tebow that. It's far from annoying. If they want to root for another team by all means go ahead I could care less, they could root for the Giants Patriots doesn't matter to me. I root for the Jets because they are my team of preference, not because of the fans.
Should have taken a chance on P. Manning, even if he didn't work out (because of injury) he sure could put Mark on the straight and narrow not to mention show/advise him how to succeed in the NFL. Maybe the JETS could concentrate on the offense running backs could help maybe even throw a WR in the mix. We are in a world of shit here folks, lets see if the ship can make it through the storm. heres hoping.
They were booing the pathetic Jets, not Sanchez and his pick. Finally a chance to get a TD and they find a new way to blow it again.
