We have to ask ourselves is Sanchez, at this time half as good as manning at his best. If not then a manning at 50 % is better then what we have now. I believe sanchez in time will be good he is still young. But he will never be peyton manning. let sanchez learn from the best for a couple of years . and let us get one super bowl before i die please. So what you are saying is Sanchez is complete incapable of bringing the Jets to a SB even though he has been in two AFCCG? Everyone says he regressed this year, then how do you explain the better stats? His incredible WR corps? His amazing pass protection? His hard-nosed rushing attack? Or maybe it was the genius that is Brain Schottenheimer....... he had a bad stretch of games, but that did not cost us the playoffs. Manning is not going to give the Jets a SB if he comes. He only did that once in his career!!!!!!! How can you possibly say his signing will be an automatic SB? The closest we have been to a SB is with Sanchez and that means we should stick w/ him. Jets fans are the terrible (most of us anyway).......

Yes manning has one super bowl and he did it with a team that could not win with out him. I will take one super bowl win ,over two championship losses anytime. put manning on our team those two years and we are playing home throughout the playoffs , not a wild card team having to play an extra game , all on the road. I have no problem with sanchez at quarterback I believe someday he will take us to the super bowl. I think every year is the year it keeps me going . I enjoy my team even when we suck. hell this year was not even that bad at 500, there was a time i would pray for 8 and 8. That being said I would still rather have an older ferrari with a dent then a brand new kia.
the NFL is a cuthoat buisness ,it's not part of the buisness caring about if someones feelings get hurt. If it happens then so be it GMs are trained in this matter to not let freindships and "feelings" get in the way of what's best for the team

Hate to be the one to break the news to you , but Sanchez has already out performed Tom Brady and Peyton Manning in the playoffs where it counts. Now does Sanchez display the ability to read a defense all the time every time ..No! that is where Manning is superior to Sanchez all day long.
What good is it to out perform them in the playoffs if we can not even make it to the playoffs. Yes, this team went to back to back AFCCG's but what does that mean, we lost is what it means at the end of the day.
Was Manning doing everything by himself in his 1-3 years? No. I don't think he should wait to start again though. If he waits its only going to give him one less year to improve. The more he plays, the better he gets. Just because Manning is one of the best ever doesn't mean it will always be this way. Manning is done. He may play this year, but it will be his last and it will mediocre unless he has some kind of incredible pass blocking. Manning before injury, sign this beast! Manning after injury, no better than what we have..... I don't want to see another Brett Favre type deal.
