I agree. If Miami gets Manning, I would be stunned if RG3 is not a Jet.

How many games would you give RG3 before you thought he was the suckiest QB ever?

The only benefit that comes out of Manning going to Miami is that it gives NE two legitimate shots at losing during the season. Their defense is crap and Manning would pick it apart with his eyes closed. The Jets need other teams to beat the Pats if they have any hope of winning the division.

Otherwise, having two of the GOATs in the same division as us, with a glorified hot dog vendor at QB, would be an absolute disaster.

He would obviously just come in and tear shit up and lead us to a SB.

Just stfu. You clearly have never played competitive sports if you honestly think that locker room chemistry doesn't matter.

The Jets had the talent to go deep into the playoffs and their locker room issues ruined it. Although to be fair, we also had one of the worst QBs in the league to help fuck it up.

one of the worst QBs in the league has an overall winning record in the regular season and in the playoffs.

    Get a clue.

I'm sure a Rex Ryan-led defense with the best cornerback in NFL history had more to do with that than anything.

right, Rex's defense put all the points on the board while Sanchez and the offense were out having a smoke in the tunnel.

This could be the most ludicrous post in a 19 page thread of consistently ludicrous posts. There is no possible way for the Jets to get to #2 without giving up their entire draft.....and then some. So be prepared to be "stunned"

There is no chance in hell that the Jets could put Manning under the cap. AND there is no way, even if they could, would Manning want to play for the Jets as they are currently constructed. I know it. You know it. Any one with a shred of common sense should know it.

So what I want to know is, WTF are the media and many Jet fans still continuing the charade. Personally I think its a laughably weak attempt by the Jets PR department to keep the Jets name in the news. Can anyone think of another reason?

Depends. If he played like Mark Sanchez, and clearly proved that he was not an NFL caliber qb in year 1, in year 2, his presence would start to piss me off if he did not get better.

But here is what Sanchez apologists dont get - he has been in the NFL for 3 years now. You dont need 10 years to realize a guy sucks.

It would be terrible if the Jets did not even reach out to see what Manning was looking for. You don't pass on something without peaking. Same as the Jets looked at Moss, TO, the 2nd pick, etc.

How can you say there is no way Manning wants to play for the Jets? Do you know Peyton personally? There is little to no inclination who Manning is off rthe field. Do you know anything about his personal life to factor in he doesn't want to be a Jet?

It would be irresponsible not to look at the possibility of bringing in a QB, that's the reason the Jets asked. Like I said before, they asked about many other players and never bit. Who knows, maybe Manning wants to play for NY but will take an incentive laden contract to help the team. Won't know unless you ask.

Why is the media continuing the run? Easy, the Jets don't have a top flight QB so they are in talks. Same as the reason the Jets are linked to Henne by circumstantial stuff since Sparano used to coach him.

Also, put the Jets name in the headlines or story, I'm sure media gets many more hits on their sites than if they did not include the Jets. They are a team everyone loves to hate. Check the comments on most stories, gonna be anti-jets stuff. They draw attention/views.

Find one person who wants Sanchez here for 7 more years. You won't find anyone. I don't understand where people get the idea that people want to give Sanchez 10 years... Do you make up arguments just to argue against them?

Its funny how you found what I said ludicrous when 100% of what you said is false, starting with giving up the entire draft, continuing with the false premise of not fitting Manning in under the cap, pretending you know what Manning wants, the fact that this is a charade, etc..

Umm, the people that babble about Mark Sanchez being "their qb," will keep saying he should be back no matter he does.

He can have 10 td and 30 int, and they would still be saying he is young and deserves another chance.

Be prepared to be stunned then. The Jets have nothing to offer the Rams to move up into that spot even if they wanted to.
