Why would Jets draft a QB at #4???

    My point is that it doesn't make sense to sign Kitna if the Jets are drafting a QB. Why waste money on another QB if you can go with Pennington, Bollinger and Cutler (for argument's sake)? If the Jets want a QB at #4, there is no need for Kitna and they can go a cheaper route for the extra QB. You would think that the Jets would want to start the new QB by his second year, so where does Kitna fit in? If Kitna is signed and Pennington restructures, I really don't see a QB drafted early by the Jets.

    Another point I agree with you on. I know Bollinger isn't anything special, but he'd be a more than adequate backup/insurance if this is a rebuilding season. If you are drafting a Cutler in the top 5 I don't know how you can say 2006 is anything other than a rebuilding season anyway.

    If we decide to pass on Cutler I hope its for Mario Williams. He is perfect for the 3-4...he is a BIG DE...kinda built like Richard Seymour...
