Only a talking tool (more like a clueless child) would ever create a thread like this. Especially considering the fact that during (only) Bowles & Maccagnan's 1st year together as a HC/GM duo they turned a team coming off a 4-12 season (2014) into a team that's now coming off a 10-6 season (2015). That's a difference of a (+) 6 game turnaround. Not to mention that the drafting of Leonard Williams was/is arguably the steal of the entire draft during their 1st draft together.
I'm with you that this thread sucks but the point you made is invalid. Mangini took a 4-12 to 10-6, remember? or were you rootin for the Phins in 2006?
The pre-season means three things: Dick, squat, and jack shit. The 2008 Lions were undefeated in the pre-season. The rest is history. It's nothing more than a chance to try out the new guys, and let the older guys see what they have to work on. Simple as that.
Is this a good post??? Just asking cause based off the title I wouldn't read a word this guy just wrote.
Christ! Shouldn't a poster be required to construct a sentence at the sixth grade level before being permitted to start a thread?
I learned something today. If you place the OP on ignore, both the entire thread along with the thread title and the troll magically disappear as though they never existed. Done and done....
Okay I'll bite. While Hack did look horrible out there he is clearly a work in progress. I too am weary of these "developmental" guys that we seem to love drafting in the 2nd round, but if anyone could turn around his career it would be Gailey. They are doing big things like redoing his throwing motion, which is not unlike changing up a golf swing or a free throw shot. It takes millions of repetitions to get good. I also don't understand your comments about Hack having to change over night when we have Fitz for a year and if we're not stupid, we keep Petty and have him compete with a vet next year. If he has a preseason like this next year, then I think this post is warranted, but what does it matter what his starting point look like when we already know he isn't ready for this game? Devin Smith has by no means looked bad...when he's played. Players get injured, thats the NFL. We have some talented young backups at wide receiver this year so even if he doesn't come back in full form this year, they'll be a spot for him here next year. I like to think of him as our version of Victor Cruz. The part about Kellen Davis, he's a garbage player, but we garbage tight ends. I wouldn't be surprised if him and Amaro are cut and we keep Sudfeld and list Enunwa as our official "unofficial" tight end.
Resigning Kellen Davis and passing on Paxton Lynch... the two things that did us in... Should the Macc and Bowles era end with no rings, and we're looking back trying to figure out where it all went wrong... that was it. Kellen Davis and Paxton Lynch.
I know this is your first post and all, but around here you'll get flamed till doomsday if you continue down this road. Next post, step it up or I guarantee your experience here won't be a pleasant one. Please view this criticism in a positive light. You started out inviting people to pounce and that's exactly what happened. In case you weren't aware, that's called "trolling". You don't want to be that guy.. In the interest of peace and harmony, I'm gonna do you a favor and close this thread before it REALLY gets ugly. Enjoy your stay with us.. Mgmt..
