I think there are at least half a dozen threads that discuss this on different levels, what purpose does this one serve or add that those other threads don't already have?
The CS owns all of this. Their opening game plans always are ineffective and by the time the 2nd half comes around, the team is always playing catch up. The OC really needs to look in the mirror and accept the fact that his system just isn't working. It wouldn't hurt the DC to realize that laying back in a zone (prevent) really prevents nothing on 3rd and long. Saleh has to start holding his staff accountable for these miserable failures on the field. I know they're all pals but this is business. Time for this CS to get its head out of its ass, stop reading the nice news clippings and get to work on getting this team straight for 60mins of football instead of being a 2nd half team week in and week out.
Because our young secondary faced a HOF QB. Because our young QB played like a young QB. Because our young CS coached like a young CS. Next.
Too much 12 personnel when we don’t have the tight ends for it. Too many big shots early in the game instead of working some quick hitters to get Zach into a rhythm. Not using Michael Carter enough on offense. 2nd down playcalling is abysmal.
Too many reasons We have no Team playing an entre first half The coaching staff and maybe Wilson could be a bust...very very depressing to say So much HOPE that Douglas would get this right Now what???
Defensive coaches are playing too conservatively. Giving up constant 3rd and 4th and longs says that they're playing with way way WAY too much cushion. Essentially, they're playing prevent in every series.
They all faltered. Offense and defense and CS. Not one sack today. Defense Gave up two big plays on Flacons’ last possession. ZW continues to make mistakes and is typical for rookie. Need to give Carter the ball more. they got to do something in the 1st quarter. It s pure shit.
Secondary was surprisingly bad. Really bad. Coulda used Marcus Maye today... Granted Matt Ryan looked fantastic so credit to him too. Got away from the run Wilson needs to hit those easy passes. Some brutal misses. On the positive, D looked better in the 2nd half minus that back breaking last drive. OL was very solid protecting Wilson Sacks he took were on him. Disappointing today but expected at this stage so I'm not trying to overreact. Wilson is a rookie. The whole team is young. It's a rebuilding year. We just need to see improvement.
