why this turd?

  1. Yeah..it was over 2 years ago. Do you remember when he was a first round draft pick w/ a ton of upside? Upside doesn't go anywhere....whats the harm in paying him the veteran minimum to see if we can make things click for him?

Perfect example of football fans not understanding the process of player development.

I'm on board w/KTJF on this.

There is no exposure for the team here.
The guy works out or not ----- doesnt cost us anything.

Not to mention that Mangini's specialty (apparently) is the secondary. Some guys need their back to the wall before they begin to perform.

Lately, our crib has become the haven for last chances ----- Andre Wadsworth & Michael Haynes last year. But its absolutely worth it to give a guy 1 more shot. Whats the worst that can happen? TC cut? Big deal.

Yea peeerrrfect example. Not just the Philly game, he constantly got burned game after game. His transition to the NFL was a complete failure on and off the field, and his character and LACK of ability to keep up with speedy wideouts is enough for me not to even consider the league min. Don't give me that shit about understanding the process of player development, who the hell are you?

    TC Fodder at BEST.

  4. Who the hell am I?

Someone who understands how player development in the NFL works. If you read a prior post in this thread...I explained how there are alot of factors that go into how a player lives up to his physical potential. Carroll didn't exactly have the greatest circumstances surrounding him w/ the Pack. Perhaps a change of scenery, scheme, and a chance to re-focus himself is all he needs. The guy has blazing natural speed...and he got selected in the first round for a REASON. W/ the need we have at CB...you throw a cheap contract at a guy like this and see what happens.

But yeah..I guess it's more convenient and lazy to refer to games from 2 years ago to explain how much of a waste of space he is and how he'll never amount to anything.
