Why the Jets should not draft Defense tonight...get a WR! Rex's one sided affair!

    And still does..a lot more backfield help.

    I agree with this statement, and it proves even with a starting line-up of mostly 1st round picks, Rex sucked last year. We has more 1st round picks on Defense than any other NFL Team and with the great REX coaching we still were not even a top ten Defense. I don't expect any better this year.

    Someone needs to have words with Idzik tonight. There was a distinct lack of dreadlocks on Day 2 of the Draft.

    It wasn't Rex's fault that the Revi$ issues came to a head or Cromartie got hurt, or they let LaRon Landry go with only his less talented relative coming in as a replacement. Yes the defense HAS gotten worse every year under Rex - at a certain point scheming's no longer enough and you need actual football talent. And if you're not going to have an elite pass rusher you absolutely need to fortify the secondary.

    Wilson has been a disappointment and rookie CBs are almost never good but I expect a lot more from DM next year - aside from them we didn't have a lot invested in the secondary in terms of draft picks which helps explain why its been such a weakness.
