This would make sense - hit took a massive hit from Butkus - that may have possibly discharged the clot - 3 plays later which would be roughly 3-5 minutes was the time it took to reach and block the lungs and he dropped….also I did some more reading on it happened at the tail end of the game. And also not the same circumstances as with Hamlin.
In 1955 there was a tragic racing accident in which 84 spectators were killed. The race went on. Times are different now.
Not at my job. Not sure what kind of chicken shit outfit you got going on over there, but plenty of organizations can't just stop working.
Damn, you're getting emotional over mentioning reality based facts and implications of what happened? The guy is fine, not sure why people have their panties in a bunch here. My brother's fantasy league imploded over that. I was just stating the obvious.
Having to be resuscitated on the field, breathing tube put down his throat, in intensive care = The guy is fine Prayers for your brothers fake football game
People always have something to say when it isn't their own life. Years ago - and this is union - the old man found out that they were working at a site full of residual asbestos and mica because it wasn't properly removed. "Oh, that. We didn't find out until yesterday. Here's some respirators." They had already been exposed for a full week and they all walked off the job. They weren't sad, they were angry. This whole idea that you should just step over a guy's body because of some bullshit warrior mentality in football is ludicrous. You have to have a certain mindset to play pro-football to begin with, I get it; but if I was a player and another player went into cardiac arrest and I wasn't sure of the outcome I would feel like one fucked up person worrying about some stupid trophy at the time. Why? Because in comparison it's a stupid trophy. I understand OP's latent point about how pussified we've become as a nation, all true (no red marks on kids' tests, it's damaging!), but this incident doesn't qualify. At all. Sorry.
Okay, let's not talk about real world effects anytime something tragic happens. Let's pretend he died and cry ourselves to sleep every night and halt society. Not once did I argue we should minimize his injury or go on and play the game the same day on account of FANTASY FOOTBALL. I'm not the OP, I'm the OG. Yeah, Damar was discharged from the hospital today. He's going to be fine. The CPR on the field saved his life, those first responders should be proud.
Well first off, he was transferred not discharged, people that are "fine" generally do not get transferred from one hospital to another. He may be fine in the future but he is not "fine" now. Second, no one said not to talk about real world effects, in fact some real world effects were discussed in the initial thread. But at least no one brought up Fantasy Football. As far as your, "Let's pretend he died and cry ourselves to sleep every night and halt society.". They just played week 18's slate of games and the playoffs are scheduled, how exactly did they halt society? Besides your brothers fantasy football that is.
