Hes a jackass and a jerk after what he did not only did he mess up once he messed up twice. I think he lacks the state of mind and maturity to play in the NFL.
This is what I dont understand..... Young scores a 16 on the wonderlic and you guys dont want him because he's dumb. Vick sexually assaults a minor, gets arrested, then the next week pulls a gun on a 17 year old, gets arrested AGAIN, then gets kicked off the team, and since he has no where else to play, he declares he's going into the draft...... And you want HIM? Forgive me if my facts are wrong, but that's rediculous
While what you say is true, the circumstances are different. In order to get Vince Young, we either have to get lucky with him dropping to #4 or trade up. In other words, it will take alot of money and some luck to get him. Marcus Vick will probably still be available in the 6th round. Although every pick in the NFL is important, a 6th round pick can be used in a much riskier manner. Also, Vick could be signed very cheap as opposed to Vince Young, who will be very costly. With all that said, I don't want either of them....
heres my next post......suck a cock!:buffaloblows: *****here's my next post....10 day suspension.*****
How long does this board save threads? Because I want it brought back up in three years when VY is hanging out with Akili Smith selling used cars and Marcus is an NFL starter. And then most of these same posters will say they wanted Marcus all along. If you perform on the field, it doesn't matter what your history is (see Laveranues Coles, Ray Lewis, Randy Moss, Ricky Williams... the list goes on and on). I don't understand some of you guys and the double standard. If I said, "Hey, Ray Lewis wants to come to NYJ" I bet people would be all over it. He was charged with freaking murder, and pled out. What if I said, "Hey, Randy Moss is being traded to the Jets." People would love it. He tried to run over a traffic cop, among many other things. Marcus has only ever been charged with misdemeanors. Period. Nothing to be proud of, but not something that in any way would disqualify someone for the NFL. He has great athletic tools and the Jets would be foolish not to take a chance on him with a second day draft pick.
I agree with you to a certain extent. Although he has had a troubling past, he is still young, and may "grow out of it." If he does fall all the way to the 6th or 7th round, it would probably be smart to draft him as an "experiment."
I dont think so, seeing how he'll be a rookie. Its not like he'll be able to divide a locker room like a TO. My biggest concern would be him being a wasted draft pick if he turns out to be a bust(as a person). Im not too concerned about the effect he'll have on the team, simply because he'll be a rookie QB. And if push comes to shove, we just cut his ass. Im only worried about losing a pick if he blows.
The younger one is a better passer, that's why there is interest. I don't know how a team could draft him until the last round, however.
The ONLY way I let that kid on this team is as an undrafted free agent, and amybe not even then. Taking him in Round 2 would go down as the biggest reach ever. That would be worse then burning a 3rd round pick on Clarett. I love the kids natural abilities. I though he was a better QB then his brother, and I believe that if he had a head for the game, he'd be a very good NFL QB. But he doesn't have a head for the game, so all that talent is wasted. He'll never make a good NFL QB until he matures, and as of now, he's not shown that he will.
