Like CMAN points out, the problem with a boycott in the NFL is revenue sharing. It makes it impossible to hit the owners in the wallet. I do like the sell the team chant. Here's something for all you ticket holders to consider. We need you there to "boo" the bad stuff from this point on. Boo for all us out of market fans that cant be there to do it. Then chant "sell the team". When more bad stuff occurs, boo again, and then chant again. Become a vocal mob and embarrass the Johnson's. Also, enjoy the tailgate. No use letting the owners spoil that. Its probably the funnest part these days anyway. And maybe you can recruit more people to the boo chant philosophy. Whenever we do something stupid boo for the rest of us that are stuck booing a TV screen. (and yes I do boo my TV from time to time out of frustration).
Cman is right about revenue sharing. The only way you can get to Woody is to publicly embarrass him. Remember the Fire Idzik billboards from a few years ago? In the '70s, Giants fans had an airplane tow a banner complaining about "15 Years of Lousy Football." The press would pick it up and play it big. The NFL broadcasters would mention it on the air. The result is that Woody would be publicly outed as the incompetent boob that he is.
Don't go to games, but problem is NY has a lot of fans from other teams. So they will go to games on our behalf to root for their teams
Funny thing is after hiring Joe Douglas, trading in Gase for Saleh, and trading Darnold in for Zack, most fans would have abandoned their boycott and re-joined the team...there were tons of high fives going around at the start of the season. Can't be too mad at the Johnson Twins for doing EXACTLY what we wanted them to do.
Last Jets jersey I bought was a Thomas Jones one. So, I am guessing it was around 2009-10. I haven't spent a cent on this team since then and have no intentions of doing so. I do own http://www.sellthejetswoody.com, which currently just redirects to this website. It could finally be the time to put an actual website up.
Stop going to games. Seriously. I saw an article yesterday that said the NFL singled out a few teams during the offseason for low ticket sales. The Jets were one of those teams. If we can make those ticket sales even worse maybe Woody and co. will finally feel some shame.
Ehh the Johnsons are good people , wouldn’t want to take away money from them just because the jets are in a very small rough patch. I’ll be at the bengals game in my Cam Clark stealth Black. Probably will pick up some souvenirs for the kiddos, the 185 screen printed jerseys are tough to pass up especially after downing a few 12 dollar beers .
What more can I do? I don't watch games, I don't go to games, I don't buy merchandise. I tag their sponsors in their posts and tell them how the Johnson's make me want to buy their product less.
fwiw... if you are older than 18 and spent $ buying Jets tickets to more than 2 games a year since ...2016... ur unwise
