I don't think Hack is the long-term answer, but he does have one thing going for him--Todd Bowles never played him this year--I think one of Bowles' MANY problems is that he a terrible talent judge and it spills over into who he plays. Any coach with brains or balls would have sat Fitzpatrick permanently after his KC meltdown in game 3, AND sat Revis permanently after watching nobodies burn Revis every week. Probably the only judge of talent worse than Bowles is Rex Ryan who probably is still bragging up Clyde Gates and Mark Sanchez. The fact that that moron Bowles thinks Hack should sit behind "interception machine" Fitzpatrick actually in a weird way gives me a glimmer of hope for Hack.
Some would say that Hackenberg is not ready but I for one do not think he could do any worse as head coach than Todd Bowles.
Because even in his best year of college, he still didn't complete more than 60% of his passes. I get it. Shitty o-line in college. Lost a lot from sanctions. But still. It doesn't provide much faith that in his three seasons in college, his accuracy numbers were brutal and in his one pre-season appearance, he looked awful.
Well as usual I'll be rooting for him to succeeded just like I did with every other qb that has been on the roster lol. It's highly possible he will suck ass but there is that off chance he could turn into the next great thing. We won't really know until we see him play
