A few reasons Schotty and/or Rex don't trust him not to fumble. Picking up the Blitz LT is very good at it my guess a second year back is not. Schotty has no clue how to use him without tipping his hand.
Yeah, I've always said this. He has no touch in passes which require finesse. Everything at close range is thrown at 100% strength.
In order for RB/TE passes underneath to work, WRs must either clear the zone out or stretch the field vertically - these two things are the very things Schottenheimer is highly allergic to. Don't get your hopes up.
He's thrown a couple for very long gains this year, nice touch passes so ...hmmm....maybe not. Of course since those plays were successful, Schotty almost never calls one. Maybe they aren't practicing them either. They work too well and slow down the pass rush.
The way our offense is playing right now, McKnight should be a much bigger part of it. He can catch the ball, he's probably our fastest offensive player other than Holmes maybe, and he can create big-time mismatches against linebackers. No reason he shouldn't have plays designed for him.
This kid's athleticism is fun to watch. Let's get him in space on a screen for once. If he learns to pass block, he can see more downs.
Right, but I'd like to see him more involved, and it would help his game and let him see the field more. I'd like to see a LB isolated on him when motioned outside - its a total mismatch. I love the catch on the crossing route. He can teach Plax something.
