Is Darren Sproles the first black guy to ever be considered scrappy?

This. I do not believe this is the wide receivers doing with how often it happens. Also on some plays multiple WR patterns are broken off before the marker making me believe it is called that way. I know people over simplify things and coaching in the NFL is hard as hell, but anyone who even played high school football can see how poorly schotty's offensive schemes are.

This has pissed us all off since way before the shotty years. First off let me say that I dont support schotty at all. But:

    1) How many times have you seen our recievers or te's catch the ball a yard shy and fight/fall forward for the first down? A prime example of this is Dustin Keller on almost 3rd down he fights forward and usually gets the 1st down.

    2) When its 3rd and 8, the defense also know its 3rd & 8, therefore you can see alot of the time that they sit on the routes at the first-down sticks. If these recievers ran the extra 2 yards and came back for the ball, you would see mr sanchez throwing a bunch of Pick 6's.

    3) Unless we can start strecthing the field in some way the corners are going to be able to sit on their routes, and our recievers will continue to get no seperation.

I firmly believe that Joe Mcknight has a GREAT burst, the reason he is so dangerous in the return game is because he hits the hole hard rather than just making people miss. Mcknight could have a significant role in the offense, and im excited to see him used as a flex RB/WR type of guy, but in reality with Kerley having a "breakout" game he wont see any reps as a reciever, and LT altough old is still much better suited for the role that we all want to see McKnight in.

    Agree or Disagree folks?

If you are lined up against very good CBs, then you have a point. However how many times have you seen it be against safety or LB? Those guys don't have the cover skills that corners do and would absolutely give up that extra yard on the route. And to answer your first question? I see it happen very rarely again because the throw is usually against a sure tackling LB/S. These one yard short of the marker routes are almost exclusively on the inside where you are going to have better coverage matchups.

    Schotty is clueless.

It's the same plays for 5 seasons.

Can't wait to watch McKnight run a double reverse on Sunday! Yay!

True story, his parents were going to name him Chop Saki but their spiritual guide the famous Reverend Moon almost blew a gasket.

maybe he has some work to do on his blocking? its the most important thing that a guy who is a 3rd down back has to do. we also have a guy named tomlinson that tends to handle the role you guys are wanting to put him in.

everything is schottenheimer these days, its as bad as hackett at this point, i cant blame schottenheimer too much on this one. but the bandwagon is getting full.

100% true. Not sure why McKnight isn't getting a lot more playing time.

Quite honestly I think Schotty needs to find more ways to get McKnight involved in the offense. That's what good teams do. They get playmakers the ball. It's pretty clear this guy has some insane athletic ability so he needs to touch the ball more then on kickoffs. Do you think Welker or Bellichick care if Edelman has a big game? Or did Law Firm complain that Woodcock was getting carries. My thinking is giving him a shot with plays designed for him is better then watching Shonn Greene run right into Slausen's back for no gain.
