Here is another scenario. Lets say the Eagles want to move up to #2 to guarantee they get him.

What is Foles worth in a trade to the Jets? Would the #37 pick and a 2016 1st round pick work?

The Eagles could send the Titans their #1 pick, #37 (from Jets), #52 (their own 2nd rounder), and their and the Jets 2016 1st round picks.

Titans give up the #2 pick but get 3 first round picks and 2 second rounders
Eagles give up Foles, 2 first rounders and a 2nd rounder, but Mariota at #2
Jets give up 2nd rounder in 2015 and 1st rounder in 2016 for Foles. The Jets still keep the #6 pick this year to draft BPA.

Im"obsessed" with Foles because if Mariota falls to us not only could we get the best QB we have had since Pennington we can get picks out of it as well. We'd have tools to build for the future and have an offense ready to win now. Chip is a great offensive coach but Gailey is no slouch. Marshall Decker Kerley is a pretty damn good receiving corps to work with. 1st round pick to help the line and we are in good shape.

I don't get the Foles love either. He's an obvious improvement over what we have but so would about 25 other guys in the league. Not terribly sold on Mariota though so if I had to choose between drafting Mariota and getting Foles and some other picks I'd go with Foles.

No he didn't you freakin numbskull

He had his team at 6-2 including victory on the road in Indy where he outplayed Luck

    Then be broke his collarbone

Eagles went 4-4 with sanchez and missed the playoffs. They were 9-3 at one point and then had 3 consecutive losses.

Sanchez would never played a snap if Foles wasnt injured

I'm obsessed with Foles because he's one of the better qbs in the league, he's a franchise QB. He's an elite passer. Mariota is a system QB and a good runner but we have no idea if he can throw in the NFL. He could be great but likely not.

Mariota is a gamble. Hes an option QB. He has huge failure potential. Imo he'll be decent but not great. In any event it will be a few years of development.

Foles is an established QB. He has set historical records for accuracy already. He's a great pocket passer and he's ready to play right now.

I think some of our fans are underrating Foles by a large margin. He played under 2 offensive schemes with guys that were considered excellent offensive coaches, he is past his learning curve in the NFL, and has proven that he could put up excellent numbers when put in a situation to succeed

If Chan Gailey could make Fitpatrick look like an all pro QB, I'm sure he could get a lot more production from Foles, especially with the weapons the jets have on offense.

I'm not saying that Foles is the second coming of Joe Montana, but if chip feels that MM is a better fit for his offense and is willing to part with Foles if MM falls to the jets, and the Jets are not sold on MM because Big Mac wants more of a pocket passer than a running type QB the jets need to consider the offer.

Foles is young and has looked very good. If Philly is willing to move on from him, that makes Foles the top dog in the QB market. There may be 25 (probably closer to 35) other QB's who are better than Geno, but only a couple will be available, unless we find some other trade partner.

With Foles, we get a solid QB, and draft picks. I don't think it'll be as much as some here think, but it will be some bonus.

what the fuck? Foles isn't worth a first rounder whether it is in 2016 or 2056.

Foles is worth pursuing but nobody is trading a first for him, and you have us trading a first and a second? holy shit.

Wow, why not give away all our picks? If the Eagles get Mariota, then Foles is nothing more than a backup to then and worth no more than a mid-round 2nd.

I say give the Eagles our 2nd and 3rd round picks this year for Foles and the Eagles 2nd round pick next year. I say next year, because any deal to get Mariota would end up costing then their 2nd this year.

well the simple answer is our current starter pretty much sucks and it would be a significant improvement at the position.

Foles is an ok choice in a bad group of possible choices, thus desirable.

Chan Gailey made Fitzpatrick look like a decent qb I think foles can thrive under him

I agree, I have no problems with the Jets considering an offer from the Eagles that included Foles, but for our fans to start talkng about giving up picks that's just crazy talk....o_O

Foles has potential but i'd be careful with calling him the best QB since Pennington. He didnt really do much last year to separate himself from even Sanchez. He was very very average before he got hurt. The year before, different story.

I was just reading threads on the Eagles message board. Www.igglephans.com seems like there convinced foles is done in philly, they want MARIOTA and are trying to figure out who there trade partner will be, the jets or the Browns.

At the very least, Foles would make for very legitimate competition for Geno and I'd be surprised if he wasn't the starter.

He's still only 25 or 26, has a Pro Bowl on his resume already, and has plenty of tools. Especially if it's in the context of a trade down in which even more picks are acquired along with him, why wouldn't you want him?
