Why don't the Jets ever wear their "80's" style jersey as a throwback?

    So wait, we're changing uniforms next year? What are they going to do with the current uniforms (which are the best in football)? Are we still going to wear them as the regular and the 80s will serve as the alternate? someone make me clear on this?

    It would replace the Titan uniforms, an occasional alternate jersey. They have never said they're going to change their uniforms entirely.

    Man I HATED the 80's unis and thank Parcells to this day for ditching them, but I really like THIS.

    Yea, but next to the Titans jersey they seem MUCH better. I cannot stand watching the Jets play in those damned Titans unis. While it does represent the start of the franchise, neither the name nor the uniform represent success nor anything memorable. It wasn't even used for a great length of time. OTOH the '80s style unis were around for years and, despite what everyone says, I do have a few fond memories of those years. I became a Jets fan when the Jets were wearing those unis and Todd was our QB. I liked watching the NYSE and Al Toon. And yes, I like Kenny O'Brien dealing with Dan Marino. Shoot, I remember seeing Chrebet for the first time in those uniforms (well, a version of it anyway) and he was probably the lone bright spot of the Kotite debacle.*

    *- have you ever thought that Kotite bringing Chrebet onto the team proves the old adage that even a blind squirrel will eventually find his nuts. Or something like that.

    So be proud of your team damnit....

    What looks crap about that is you can tell just from that pic that the green lines in the shoulder section are too dark for the kelly green. So the Jersey will suck!!
