When Leon Hess went to sell the Jets there were two buyers: Cablevision: James Dolan--MSG/Knicks, Jets' West Side Stadium opponent (in cahoots with NYS Senate Speaker and convicted felon $heldon $ilver). Or, Woody Johnson. Pick your poison. . . Woody or Dolan (read: Knicks). .
Even the smallest details they just don't get Funeral black uniforms today. Yea great. That's just what we want. Maybe the team should be introduced through a giant coffin
Well if a march on Washington for political purposes can draw a few hundred thousand or half a million, why can't 60,000 passionate fans decide to protest by staying out of the stadium? Even better, would be a lot of them actually showing up by refusing to enter! I'm pretty sure that would get the Johnson's attention. If the fans who buy seats really want their money, time, and effort to be worth something, they seriously ought to consider this.
Its not that they don't want to win, its that there's no pain if they lose. Either way, the Jets make money. LOTS of it. Whether they do something to improve the team, or nothing at all, they're still gonna make money. To those kind of people, that's all that matters. Wins and Losses on the balance sheet are far more important than on the field.
If the Jets one day start to lose money, only then will the Johnsons consider selling the team. They're not gonna walk away from billions annually no matter how much the team sucks. Anyone that thinks fan opinion matters besides the PR Dept needs to reassess that opinion.
My worst fear right now is the Giants fire Shurmur then hire Mcarthy and they go on to win a Superbowl in the next 5 years.I see it coming...
