He wanted more then 1 year and more then we are willing to spend on a stop gap. dude turned out to be mediocore
Fitzpatrick and Gailey were scapegoats. Buddy Nix had to blame someone to take the heat off of himself for bringing in Mario Williams. 80%+ of the Bills team could only manage 30 minutes of play before they were exhausted. That falls on players and coaches. Historically the Bills fans and media have placed blame on a few individuals instead of the unit as a whole. Scott Norwood is the biggest example of this mentality. That mentality exists to this day. The concept of rebuilding is poorly understood in Buffalo and Ralph Wilson deserves most of the blame for never allowing rebuilding to come to completion. Coaches have come and gone since Marv Levy for two reasons: Wilson is cheap and instant success is expected.
LOL wait... what? Why is there heat for bringing the best player on our defense to Buffalo? Dude had 10+ sacks, most of them in crucial 3rd down situations, and literally won us games by himself (Jacksonville comes to mind). What are you even talking about? lol
You guys saying Fitzpatrick isn't better than Sanchez is comical. You only wish Sanchez could complete 60% of his passes, throw for 3,400 yards, pass for 24 touchdowns to 16 interceptions, and have a QB rating of 83.3. No one outside of a Jets fan would ever say Sanchez is the better QB.
Fitzpatrick is definitely better. But Fitzpatrick still sucks something awful so it doesn't really matter.
why even make it a debate? as far as nfl quarterbacks, they both suck pretty much equal amounts of cock.
Competition between Fitzpathetic and Nacho makes me think I am watching some Special Olympics competition. Whoever wins is still a pathetic god damn loser - to put it in mild terms. P.S. So, why is this even a thread? Signing one pathetic god damn loser to replace another one Jets already have is not a productive thinking to say the very least.
100 million for a guy that ranked 17th in the sack count is not what I would consider a good deal. Jacksonville had a record of 2-14 not sure I would break out the champagne for that win.
Lets just clear this up. Aside from the three guys in AZ, and Two in JVille....fitzpatrick is probably the next worst QB in football.
Sanchez had over 3400 yards 26 passing TDs 6 rushing with 18 picks in 2011. They are basically the same QB with Sanchez having more upside. Fitz has a little bit higher completion % but I can't remember him ever leading 4th quarter come backs like Sanchez has. I want Sanchez gone but if I had to chose between the 2 I'd take Sanchez everytime.
no........ let me say something that i've noticed on here. a majority of jets think sanchez sucks, but when he's compared to other bad qb's they think he's better than them all, just an observation. what makes sanchez better than the likes of fitzpatrick, henne, gabbert, skelton etc
Funny thing is Fitz and the Bills were the toast of the town through the first 7 games or so in 2011 until they ran into the buzz saw known as the NY Jets. It was all down hill from there, with game one of 2012 as the exclamation point. From Fitz's stand point he'd love to join the Jets....after all, if you can't beat them, might as well join them.
Sanchez led the league in interceptions last year. He had horrible coaching terrible WRs and poor RB play. The season before Fitz led the league in interceptions with much more around him than Sanchez. Im not saying Sanchez is good but Fitz is absolutely terrible.
Who got to 30 wins faster? And..if Fitz was what you make him out to be why do the Jills have no QB, one year after giving Fitz...50 mil....with JUST TWENTY FOUR MILLION guaranteed. Please There isnt much that makes a Jets fan happy..except looking at the Bills.
Please tell me what I "make him out to be." He's still garbage, just saying he's much better than Sanchez. No one here is arguing that they both don't suck. You must have been happy looking at the Bills while they were kicking the crap out of your team while most of our starters were on injured reserve.
