Limit DPI to 15 yards, and fans will scream bloody murder when a cornerback tackles their receiver on a sure touchdown while the ball is still in the air.
I think the biggest change is they now allow the replay official to intervene between plays. The league switched over to the Hawkeye System which is an independent replay system and takes the replay responsibility out of the broadcasters hand. The replay official is able to rewind the play in question with all angles in sync and select key camera angles to make the call. I have hands on experience with this system and it's fucking amazing. Imagine the all-22 being 22 cameras from different angles instead of one overhead camera.
The league taking full control of the replay system also means they take complete control of how a game is officiated at the most critical times. One can assume taking over control of the game through technology is equally, or even more, important to them as improving the officiating.
You've hit the nail on the head. The quality of the referees is just sub par. They're not biased or crooked... they is just baaaad. The word "entrenched" comes to mind...
Mike White got destroyed, but those shouldn't be RTP calls. They were hits to the midsection and the defenders didn't land on him. He got absolutely smoked, but it was clean. GW yes should have been a penalty. The flag they picked up would have been awful
Why doesn’t the NFL start by making them full time employees? They could continue to hone their craft in the offseason.
A good team win's despite the refs, ref's are not biased towards the Jets, infact it would be in the leagues best interest for a big media market like New York to win the superbowl. Fan's just make excuses for why we lost the game. But we just got outplayed/outcoached by the team who were favorites to win the division coming into this year. We got plenty of help from the refs this year to. Ref's are human not robots.
The GW play probably should have been a flag, but at the same time, I imagine we'd all be yelling about it if they threw that flag if the situation were reversed. The shots on Mike White were all clean, and you could tell that the Bills have been well coached on how to avoid the RTP penalties. On at least two of those shots I noticed the defender making sure to reposition himself so that he didn't fall directly on White.
it is not the green glasses, it is refs being unfair. This is what refs told saleh about jfm hit on mac jones: both hits on mw were much much worse and no flags which is complete bs
-> watch from 55 seconds in...clean hit and doesn't fall on him. hits on mw were much much worse and no flags. bull crap!
Yep. He has taken at least a couple of hits well out of bounds, and a couple of marginal ones as well this season - without the officials throwing a flag. Of course, we are biased as Jets fans, but seeing some of the personal foul/late hit calls against this team - again, Jets QBs taking hits late/slugs to the head without a flag being thrown has been a bit of a running joke for the past few seasons - and then you see the stuff the Jets are called for, it makes you scratch your head a bit.
Maybe the Owner or the GM should speak up! I'm sure Jerry Jones would be having triplets if his guys were being abused without any protection. Woody maybe should say something pubically. Same for Saleh damn the fine that's sure to come. As long as the Jets suffer in silence, they will continue to suffer..
