Both these teams have been picking up each others trash for a decade, remember they took our curmudgeonly antisocial cleveland brown washout of an assistant coach. Victor Green, Otis Smith(x2), Kyle Brady, Bryan Cox, Jermaine Wiggins, Bobby Hamilton, Roman Phifer, Anthony Pleasant and more.

Let them suffer watching Troy Brown win a Super Bowl ring and ride off into the sunset as a Jet.

If he wasnt laid out to dry everytime he caught a ball he would still be here.

    why pick him up?
ultimate professional, can teach the young jets a LOT
ultimate depth-wr, special teams, and db
playmaker-has always made big plays at big times

i say all of the above with the knowledge that he may not have anything left in the tank. why not bring him in and find out? no harm in looking.

If the guy is #4-#5 on the depth chart we could do worse. It would piss off the cheaters fans which would be cool

The Patriots don't let go of players who have anything left! We don't need to pick up anymore of their garbage!

Troy has an offseason home in Huntington, WV not far from Marshall, about 8 miles away from me.

He and Chad are always doing stuff here in the offseason for charities and whatnot. Doesn't surprise me if Chad leaned over to Tangini and gave 'em the heads-up to bring TB in for a look.

Mangini has referenced him a several times and always speaks positively of him.

Is it possible that Mangini might have him in to say "hey, if know one picks you up, we would love to have you as part of our organization as a coach or some other capacity"???

I tend to agree with those saying the PATS wouldn't discard him he they didn't think he was finished. Troy may just not have faced that fact yet.

He's dependable for a fair catch...That's just about all I'd want him for.
